Will Buttleman's time at the crease is brief - 12 minutes- as he is lbw, trapped in the crease, by spinner Tom Hartley.

Lawrence has 92 as he is joined by Doug Bracewell.

Ollie Price is round the wicket to Borthwick, who sweeps for two and the scores are tied.

The third ball is a dot ball.

The fourth is steered away to square leg - and there's the win!

That's the first time Durham have beaten Gloucestershire on this ground - and what an emphatic victory!

Alex Lees led Durham to a big first innings advantage with 195, with solid support form Clark and Carse, who both made half centuries, plus a whirlwind 39 off 29 balls from Migael Pretorius on debut, with seven fours.

Potts ran through the top order with four wickets, all coming in his first four overs with dangerous, late inswing.

Miles Hammond held out for more than 50 overs in an innings of 86 but and had resistance but little support from the other end in terms of runs, bar Matt Taylor, who made 22 in an 8th wicket stand of 62.

    But it wasn't enough.

WICKET Sibley c Paterson b Montgomery 83published at 18:25 British Summer Time 12 July 2023

    Surrey 355 & 171-4 v Notts 399

With 11 overs of play to go at The Oval, Surrey lose the 'rock' at the top of their order.

It is a big moment for Matthew Montgomery because that is his first County Championship wicket.

It was a loopy delivery and Sibley obligingly hit it to Dane Paterson patrolling the leg-side boundary.

Surrey are 127 ahead as Will Jacks comes out. If Notts can knock another over before the close, they might be fancying their chances - one bowler light (Jake Ball) though they may be.

  16. WARWICKSHIRE BEAT KENT BY AN INNINGS AND 46 RUNSpublished at 18:18 British Summer Time 12 July 2023

Arshdeep Singh holes out to Will Rhodes off Oliver Hannon-Dalby and Kent are 332 all-out.

The final three wickets fell in the space off 11 balls for the addition of one run.

OHD adds 4-59 to his 4-56 in the first innings while Rob Yates registered career-best bowling figures of 2-45 to his career best 228* with the bat. Quite a 48-hours for him.

Bears take 23 points to keep the pressure on at the top of Division Two while Kent add just two, with Middlesex and Northants both currently seeking to close the gap at Merchant Taylors'.

    Durham 453 & 38-1 v Glos 316 & 188 - target 52

Lees reverse sweeps Zafar for two runs to move on to 22 - but he's out next ball!

Bowled round his legs trying to paddle it around the corner.

Scott Borthwick is coming in to try and finish off the chase tonight.

It's pretty dark out there so it's not a given that we'll finish this game on day three.

  19. wicket

WICKET Qadri lbw b Maxwell 30published at 18:15 British Summer Time 12 July 2023

    Kent 171 & 331-9 v Warwickshire 549-7 dec

Oh dear. Glenn Maxwell lofts one up to Hamid Qadri who tries to play it into the leg side, only to swipe across the line and end up plumb in front. He's gone after a breezy 38-ball stint to spark wild celebrations. A near-perfect away trip for Warwickshire.

Kent are down to last man Arshdeep Singh, still 47 runs adrift of Bears' mammoth first innings total.

  20. Finch and Gibbon return to the creasepublished at 18:15 British Summer Time 12 July 2023

    Yorkshire 407, Worcestershire 242 & 0-0

    Well this is a first!!!

Pears last pair Adam Finch and Ben Gibbon really have returned to the crease to open the second innings - as dual nightwatchmen.

    It's innovative.
