    Durham 453 & 27-0 v Gloucs 316 & 188

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Durham bowled out Gloucestershire in their second innings for just 188, leaving them a target of just 52.

The lights are on though so bad light could be an issue. There's also a bit of rain around as well.

Miles Hammond top-scored for the visitors with 86 but nobody else got within a country mile of him. He also made a half-century in the first innings.

Matthew Potts finished with 4-55. All four wickets came in his first four overs of the afternoon, which set the tone for the rest of the innings.

If Durham can pull this off today, they will open up a 54-point gap at the top of Division Two.

  4. Worcestershire to follow on at New Roadpublished at 18:10 British Summer Time 12 July 2023

    Yorkshire 407, Worcestershire 242

    Ged Scott
    BBC Sport at New Road

Worcestershire have been made to follow on at New Road.

And the Pears openers Jake Libby and Gareth Roderick have nine overs left to face tonight against a Yorkshire pace attack now nicely warmed up.

Maybe the Pears would be better off sticking Adam Finch and Ben Gibbon back in?!!!

Their barnacle-like 63-run stand in two hours was, after all, the best partnership of the Worcestershire innings.

    Middlesex 277 v Northants 219 & 307-6 - lead by 249

Emilio Gay is not entirely comfortable running between the wickets, understandably so given his knee injury

But he's able to tuck De Caires away to square leg and run a single to bring up the Northants 300 in the 105th over.

Keogh pulls Bamber away through wide mid on for four at the other end.

    Kent 171 & 331-8 v Warwickshire 549-7 dec

Kent's resistance is fading. Grant Stewart flashes at a wide one from Oliver Hannon-Dalby and offers a chance to Glenn Maxwell to pouch a catch by his right shoulder at gully.

Five fours and two sixes in a typically swashbuckling 44-ball knock from Stewart.

Seven for the match for Oliver Hannon-Dalby.

    Matt Quin the new man.

  7. wicket

WICKET Walter c Bohannon b Bailey 24published at 18:07 British Summer Time 12 July 2023

    Lancs 145 v Essex 282 & 165-5

Paul Walter spots a slower ball from Tom Bailey, but he doesn't get all of it and Josh Bohannon takes a good catch at long-on.

    Durham 453 & 26-0 v Glos 316 & 188 - Target 52

Too much width from Akhter to Lees and the Durham opener dabs that away to third man for four more.

A total of six runs off the bat in the over, plus a leg bye.

    Durham are cruising home.

    Somerset 500 v Hampshire 330 & 17-0

Kyle Abbott gets a huge round of applause after his third four takes him to 12... which is basically his maiden first class century, right? 89 not out in the first innings and now 12.

Bowlers can take hat-tricks in consecutive overs so why can't we implement the Kyle Abbott Century Rule for the 36-year-old who won 11 Test caps for South Africa.

It's his 150th first class match after all. Have a heart, scorers!

  10. Essex 300 ahead in Blackpoolpublished at 18:04 British Summer Time 12 July 2023

    Lancs 145 v Essex 282 & 163-4

Paul Walter hits a six at the start of a new Tom Hartley over and three singles later, the Essex lead reaches 300.

    Finch c Tattersall b Steketee 24

Mark Steketee gets the final wicket as Adam Finch is caught behind off Mark Steketee.

The stand in the end was worth 63 in 35.3 overs - not very entertaining, but highly effective from the last pair.

With a lead of 165, will Yorkshire enforce the follow-on?

    Middlesex 277 v Northants 219 & 298-6 - lead by 241

Keogh gets his first boundary with a reverse sweep for four off De Caires, where there is an inviting gap square on the off side.

How many do Northants need here? 280 in front? 300?

    Durham 453 & 19-0 v Glos 316 & 188 - Target 52

Four runs to Jones, clipping a leg side ball from Akhter through square leg.

Lees picks up four more with an expansive drive through cover off Matt Taylor.

Durham have 19 from four overs and are clearly in no mood to hang around.

  14. 150 runs

for Michael Neserpublished at 18:00 British Summer Time 12 July 2023

    Glamorgan 365-9 v Leics

What an innings this is by Michael Neser.

He steps to the off-side before belting Tom Scriven over mid-wicket for six to reach 150 off 181 balls.

It is the highest score of his career and he also has the middle name Gertges. Could life be any better?

Dom Sibley tucks Calvin Harrison into the leg-side for a single as the Surrey total reaches 150.

The next ball is short and wide, and Ben Foakes gives the silly point fielder palpitations as he puts it away for four.

    Kent 171 & 322-7 v Warwickshire 549-7 dec

Grant Stewart (33) and Hamid Qadri (28) have added 55 for this eighth wicket and Glenn Maxwell is on to bowl some off-spin for Warwickshire, who need three wickets to ensure a day-off tomorrow.

There are five overs remaining, but they will likely get a few more in before the 6.30pm cut-off.

If Kent are nine down they can still call on the extra half-hour too.

They are 56 shy of making Bears bat again.

    Middlesex 277 v northants 219 & 292-6 - lead by 234

Lovely shot from Taylor who drives a very full ball from Bamber through long off for four.

Six runs in the over altogether.

The 6th wicket pair takes singles off De Caires at the other end... and Taylor is out off the fourth ball!

Turn and bounce for De Caires as Taylor tries to clip to leg and loops up a catch to Higgins, who runs in from first slip and takes it on the leg side. Great grab.

    Rob Keogh is in next.

    Lancs 145 v Essex 282 & 147-4

Dan Lawrence is a difficult man to bowl to when set and he launches Tom Hartley for six to move into the 80s.

A century now would be perfect timing with the final two Ashes Tests looming. You never know, he may be needed by England.

Essex lead by 284 and there are 17 overs left.

Are you sitting down? Kyle Abbott is opening the batting for Hampshire, with Fletcha Middleton on strike for the first ball from Jack Brookes.

    Got to love county cricket.

What do you make of that decision from James Vince? Abbott made 89 runs and was seeing it well. Logical from James Vince? Let us know via #bbccricket

    Durham 453 & 6-0 v Glos 316 & 188 - Target 52

    Single off Akhter's over.

Matt Taylor bowls to Jones and the fourth ball keeps unusually low and evades the outside edge by a whisker.

The cloud has set in a bit here and we may well be finishing this game tomorrow after all.

The last ball is nudged away safely to third man for four.
