Sam Drury and Tom Mallows
Here is Nathan Lyon. He has to limp sideways down the stairs!
Lead by 355
Ben Stokes then bowls a bouncer to Nathan Lyon who ducks out of the way.
Surely you go full and straight?
Nathan Lyon pulls his first ball to deep fine leg and sets off for a run, realises he can't walk, and opts against it.
This is the Ashes isn't it? This is cricket? This is real life?
Glenn McGrath
Ex-Australia bowler on BBC Test Match Special
It will be interesting because Nathan Lyon is a compulsive hooker of the short ball.
Alison Mitchell
Cricket commentator on BBC Test Match Special
I've never seen anything like it, he's hobbling out. They are applauding Nathan Lyon. He is hobbling out to the middle.
Matthew Henry
BBC Sport at Lord's
There’s a good proportion of Lord’s standing to applaud Nathan Lyon hobbling out.
This is extraordinary. Nathan Lyon is limping out to the middle to a standing ovation.
Hazlewood c Root b (Aus 264-9)
Straight to short leg! Ben Stokes finally has a wicket as Josh Hazlewood pushes it straight to Joe Root.
Glenn McGrath
Ex-Australia bowler on BBC Test Match Special
You would bowl at the stumps for Nathan Lyon wouldn't you? If bowl short and it hits the head there could be a concussion substitute.

Can't understand the negativity towards England in the last couple of hours; Aus aren't scoring and England are chipping away with the wickets. Plenty of time in the game for a run chase... setting up a perfect Baz ball finish. Judge the team/tactics at the end of the match, not the middle!!
Jonny, Glasgow
We see another shot of Nathan Lyon with his helmet on chatting to James Anderson in the Long Room.
If he does bat it will take him an absolute age to walk to the middle, let alone run a single.
The series continues to surprise.
Glenn McGrath
Ex-Australia bowler on BBC Test Match Special
Lyon might get timed out. Surely, he can come out in a wheelchair or something?
Josh Hazlewood is the next batter BUT we have just seen a shot of Nathan Lyon padded up limping down the stairs in the Pavilion.
He cannot be ready to bat surely? He can barely walk?!
Cummins c Duckett b Broad 11 (Aus 261-8)
Pat Cummins goes this time!
Stuart Broad bangs it in short and Cummins fends off straight to Ben Duckett at gully.

Ex-Australia bowler on BBC Test Match Special
There's just shy of 150 overs left, England go at five a over, they will be more than fine with this. Australia need another 50 to get to 400, the way they are going, that would take another 50 overs.

We all know England are capable of chasing this down. The question is, how do they play the short ball safely? Answers on a post card.
Nick Pompidou in Bremen
The highest fourth wicket chase at Lord's being for a single wicket feels like a ridiculous record that's been waiting too long to be beaten.
James, St Albans

Just short! Ben Stokes cramps Pat Cummins for room and he very nearly fends it off to Joe Root at short leg.
Stokes is continuing to make things happen.
Glenn McGrath
Ex-Australia bowler on BBC Test Match Special
I'm not really sure what's happening to be honest. Mitchell Starc is blocking it, Pat Cummins is playing some shots, England are defending. I'm not sure what anyone's plan is at the minute.

If Stokes knew it was a no-ball why didn't he try to run Cummins out?
Andrew, Warrington
The ball was nowhere near him, Andrew. Plus, by the time the no-ball was given, the ball was dead.
Ben Stokes is about to bowl his 11th successive over.
He is obviously keen to make up for this.
