  1. Aus 20-1published at 4 overs

Beautiful from Marnus Labuschagne as he shows lovely balance and timing to flick Ollie Robinson to the mid-wicket fence.

Robinson then hits the Aussie on the pad but it's too high for a serious lbw appeal.

It feels like Headingley has quietened down slightly.

No sign of any protestors yet.

Early this morning the stewards were practicing their sprints around the boundary edge.

I wouldn’t back myself in a race with them.

Here's how Stuart Broad removed David Warner for the 16th time in Tests.

File it under things you love to see.

  4. Aus 16-1published at 3 overs

A wayward leg-side delivery flicks off the hip of Usman Khawaja and brings Australia four, before a lovely drive through mid-off brings another boundary.

This outfield is rapid. Beat the fielders and you get four.

They've got five slips in for Stuart Broad!

If England can get another early wicket it'll really open up the game...

  7. Aus 8-1published at 2 overs

    Ooh!

A rather sedate start from Ollie Robinson until he finds a little bit of bounce from the final delivery and it rises slightly past the edge of Marnus Labuschagne.

This looks like a tasty pitch. Certainly more pace than the first two.

Headingley was already lively but the place erupted when Zak Crawley took that catch. The Barmy Army are in full voice in the Western Terrace already, with Stuart Broad happily playing the role of cheerleader before running in to bowl.

Ollie Robinson is going to share the new ball.

He was only in the high 70s at Lord's so it's perhaps a surprise to see him keep his place in the side.

How will he go? Let's find out.

There's a low rumble out there, you can just feel it. Alex Carey will probably get quite a reception when he comes out.

  14. Aus 5-1published at 1 over

    First ball four.

    Fifth ball wicket.

    A chaotic start at Headingley.

A normal day of Ashes cricket? No chance.

Despite the smattering of boos after the Australia anthem, it was relatively quiet in the build-up and for much of that first over. Not anymore.

The full Western Terrace is on its feet.

Everyone is on their feet! Warner is getting booed as he walks off the ground. What a start and what a catch!

This pitch might have a bit of spice in it.

    Warner c Crawley b Broad 4 (Aus 4-1)

    Broad has got Warner!!

David Warner looks to drive Stuart Broad away but a thick outside edge absolutely flies to Zak Crawley at second slip.

The opener does superbly, moving high to his left to take the catch.

There's a no-ball check but Warner is on his way. He's greeted by a loud chorus of boos too.

    What a start for England!

Now that's an example of what we're taking about! A lovely start for the Australians here, they know they're in a contest here.

  19. Aus 4-0published at 0.1 overs

    Wow.

A little push from David Warner absolutely races down the ground and brings him a boundary first up.
