Huge cheers - from both sets of fans - when Jonny Bairstow waited to leave his crease.
Oh! That's a belter.
Jonny Bairstow is beaten as Mitch Marsh gets one to move between bat and pad.
There are just over 20 minutes until close.

Bairstow waits and waits to leave his crease and the crowd love that.
Jonny Bairstow waits and waits and waits to leave his crease after a ball goes through to Alex Carey. He doesn't want a repeat of Lord's.
Those that remain at Headingley cheer.

That Zak Crawley wicket was the cue for a number of fans to get up and start making their way to the exits.
Jonny Bairstow is the new batter.
Headingley is surprisingly quite quiet.

"He played well until he nicked one" - that sentence sums up Crawley's career so far.

What a day Marsh is having, it was a nothing shot from Zak Crawley.

What a day Mitch Marsh is having.
It is fifth or sixth stump line from the all-rounder and an edge floats to David Warner at first slip, who takes a pretty routine catch.
England, having settled the early wobble, are pushed back again.

It has been the most exhilarating day of Test cricket and the partnership is going well. It's a bit of a danger zone now, you just fear that he might make a mistake.
Zak Crawley has looked to be on the front foot to Pat Cummins and generally attack the ball.
He's happier letting the ball come to him when Mitchell Starc and Scott Boland are bowling.

This England side rotate the strike so well.
Cameron Green couldn't stop overstepping at Lord's and now his replacement Mitchell Marsh is at it too.
There's two in his first over.
He has only played five first-class games in four years so he is probably going to need some time to find some rhythm.

Marsh's innings shows what attacking cricket can do in wearing down an attack - although England should have caught him ages before, it shows what some attacking English batting could do!
Joe from Suffolk
Just a Joe Root single from the first over after drinks.
We're going to see Mitch Marsh replace Pat Cummins at the other end.
Marsh, playing in his first Test since 2019, made a century earlier.

Poor old Todd Murphy looks to have replaced Travis Head as the prime target for the boisterous England fans out on the square leg boundary.
He seems to be taking it in good spirits, though he won't want to do what Head did in the first Test and drop a catch right in front of them.
Ollie in Sussex, this is for you.
Ben Duckett was undone by the extra bounce for his dismissal, but does he need to be playing a delivery that wide?
Alex Hartley
Former England bowler on BBC Test Match Special
I think it's going to be an exciting 40 minutes of play here at Headingley. Marsh was outstanding with the bat for Australia and now it's down to Crawley and Root to rebuild here.
