Hampshire 52-2 v Essex
Rod Bransgrove will be enjoying watching Nick Gubbins bat as the left-hander strokes a couple of boundaries to bring up Hampshire's 50.
Gubbins has progressed to 20, whipping Paul Walter - who came into the attack to replace the injured Shane Snater - to the fence at midwicket and then carving him to third for four more.
Yorkshire 55-0 v Durham

Yorkshire openers Adam Lyth and Fin Bean have given the hosts a great start in Scarborough.
Durham won the toss and put their hosts in, but didn't back that decision up with the best bowling.
There were initially too many loose deliveries.
Lyth hit three lovely cover drives for four in the first three overs. He now has 29 and Bean 20.
The field looks like a carpet, but after lots of rain in recent days, it is slow.
Warwickshire 36-7 v Middlesex
Warwickshire edge past their lowest-ever score at Edgbaston but, just a run later, they lose a seventh wicket.
Michael Burgess plays forward and ends up being bowled by Ethan Bamber.
A fourth scalp for Bamber.
The Bears did manage to go 22 minutes wirthout losing a wicket there. But this is still horrible for the hosts.
Undone by good bowling and some injudicious choice of shots.
Somerset 31-2 v Surrey
A big wicket for Surrey as Tom Abell departs.
The Somerset skipper is out, strangled down legside as he tries to flick one away and Ben Foakes is off smartly to his left to pouch it.
Abell has not quite looked himself this morning, and he'll be upset to be out in that manner.
Lancashire v Northamptonshire 29-2
George Balderson at the double!
A wicket with the first ball of his first over and a wicket with the first ball of his second.
Number three Justin Broad tries to work one through midwicket but he can't get it beyond a diving Jack Morley.
Hampshire 37-2 v Essex
Play is halted at the Ageas Bowl as Shane Snater pulls up in his delivery stride and crumples to the turf.
First glance suggests it's a hamstring or Achilles injury for the Essex seamer, who had just come on as first change.
But he's being helped off the field now and you'd think the visitors will have to manage a bowler short for the rest of this match.
Somerset 29-1 v Surrey
Sean Dickson looks in determined mood this morning. He looks a different player to the one who was struggling earlier in the summer.
Alongside him, Tom Abell has arrived at the crease early as is customary for the Somerset captain.
Lancashire v Northamptonshire 23-1
A wicket maiden to start with for George Balderson.
He's a cricketer in form after his maiden century in last week's rain-affected draw with Warwickshire.
And the all-rounder is a player in whom Lancashire have very high hopes.
Warwickshire 31-6 v Middlesex
Ed Barnard smites the final ball of TRJ's over to the cover boundary for four.
A glorious shot.
And an attempt to take the battle back to Middlesex, followed by a nice straightish on drive for four by Michael Burgess off Ethan Bamber to complete the first double-figure stand of the innings.
Warwickshire are at least past their lowest ever first-class score, 16 against Kent at Tonbridge 110 years ago. But they still need a further four runs to match their lowest at Edgbaston - against a Fred Trueman-inspired Yorkshire in 1963.
Notts 9-0 v Kent
All happening at Edgbaston - but further east, it's been a more sedate start at Trent Bridge.
Haseeb Hameed has finally got himself off the mark with a single from his 20th delivery and he and Ben Slater are digging in, with the current run-rate exactly one per over. No wickets down, though!
Lancashire v Northamptonshire 23-1
George Balderson strikes with his first ball!
Ricardo Vasconcelos sees off the opening pair and he fancies his chances when Balderson sends down a wide half-volley.
But the ball flies to point rather than the boundary and Vasconcelos has to trudge back to the dressing room.
Warwickshire 20-6 v Middlesex
It just gets worse for Warwickshire.
Jacob Bethell is the latest to go, bowled by Ethan Bamber.
This pitch has a green tinge to it, but it doesn't look like anyone was expecting to this.
New man Michael Burgess comes in to join Ed Barnard.
Tough going for the Bears.
Middlesex now have five slips in as they look to maintain the pressure.
Hampshire 20-2 v Essex
Well, Essex's decision to bowl first is looking justified so far.
Jamie Porter has now sent both openers packing, getting the ball to swing and take the outside edge of Ian Holland's bat.
Hampshire skipper James Vince heads out to begin the repair job...
Lancashire v Northamptonshire 21-0
Tom Bailey and Will Williams have bowled some decent balls, but Emilio Gay then produces one of his trademark shots, a classy drive down the ground off Bailey.
Warwickshire 17-5 (4.2 overs) v Middlesex
This is ridiculous!
A fifth wicket inside 23 minutes in Birmingham as Ethan Bamber bowls Dan Mousley
The Edgbaston home dressing room door will be coming off its hinges.
Somerset 12-1 v Surrey
Oh no, that is not a good way for an opening batter to be dismissed.
Tom Lammonby's eyes light up when Dan Worrall drifts on to middle and leg, but he doesn't get on top of the ball and he sends it low to midwicket.
A bonus wicket for Surrey with that one.
Hampshire 15-1 v Essex
Jamie Porter makes the breakthrough for Essex and it's one Fletcha Middleton won't enjoy watching back.
Middleton was motionless as the ball darted back at him - and did more than he expected to knock back his off stump.
Nick Gubbins is the new man in for Hampshire.
Warwickshire 15-4 (3.4 overs) v Middlesex
This is now an unbelievable start.
Rob Yates gets into his stride, with his second boundary of the morning through extra cover off Toby Roland-Jones.
But the Middlesex paceman gets immediate revenge as he finds the Bears' opener's edge and he is safley pouched, again by Sam Rolbson at second slip.
Jacob Bethell joins fellow new arrival Dan Mousley at the crease for the buckling Bears.
Notts 2-0 v Kent
Not exactly a run-fest so far this morning at Trent Bridge... just the one scoring shot, in fact, in the first four overs.
That was a two for Ben Slater on the leg side and otherwise, it's been a series of dot balls from Matt Quinn and Arshdeep Singh - the Indian left-armer playing the final game of his stint with Kent.
