    Notts 350 & 100-0 v Kent 314

It's a third of the season for Notts, with Hameed involved in all of those - although Ben Duckett was his partner in both of the previous hundred partnerships.

Easy maths here to work out that the home side's lead is now 134.

Phil Salt reaches 100 in style!

One step down the wicket and BOOM! Straight down the ground for six off Jack White.

He has taken just 74 balls with 11 fours and three sixes. This is real Bazball cricket from the wicketkeeper-batter.

Fifty up for the Pricespublished at 17:59 British Summer Time 27 July 2023

    Worcestershire 406, Gloucestershire 171-4

Ollie Price and Tom Price have now shared a half-century partnership for Gloucestershire.

The Prices are once again proving right in this fixture - to Worcestershire's annoyance.

The Pears have already suffered at the hands of Tom Price once this season, way back in April when he rescued his side from 85-8 with a century, then took a hat-trick all on the same day, external. Quite a good hat-trick too . . . Azhar Ali, Jack Haynes and home skipper Brett D'Oliveira, all caught behind by James Bracey.

Excellent knock by Ben Slater, for the second time in this match.

Having scored exactly 100 first dig, the Nottinghamshire left-hander has now passed 50 again from 73 balls.

He gets there with a boundary, driving Jas Singh through gully to the fence as Notts continue to make the Kent bowlers toil.

  9. Surrey begin 'chase'published at 17:47 British Summer Time 27 July 2023

    Somerset 170 & 226 v Surrey 368 & 2-0

Openers Rory Burns and Dom Sibley have come out in pursuit of their victory target of 29.

They each pick up a single off Ben Green.

Tom Lammonby to bowl at the other end. Somerset know their goose is cooked.

  10. Postpublished at 17:46 British Summer Time 27 July 2023

    Notts 350 & 74-0 v Kent 316

If there were any shackles upon them earlier, Ben Slater and Haseeb Hameed have shaken those off now.

They've begun scoring freely again, with Slater cutting Arafat Bhuiyan for successive fours in his first over and Hameed following that up with a leg-side boundary off Jas Singh.

Still 21 overs scheduled tonight, so Nottinghamshire could build up a very healthy lead by stumps. They're currently 108 ahead.

  11. Fourth batting point for Lancashirepublished at 17:38 British Summer Time 27 July 2023

    Lancashire 400-3 v Northamptonshire 342

Phil Salt up to 90 and 19 overs left tonight.

  12. wicket

    WICKET Bashir b J Overton 7published at 17:33 British Summer Time 27 July 2023

    Somerset 170 & 226 all out v Surrey 368

    Bowled him!!

Full and straight usually works against a number 11 and Jamie Overton crashes one into Shoaib Bashir's stumps.

Craig Overton is left unbeaten on an entertaining 70.

But the main news is that Surrey require only 29 to complete a deserved victory.

  13. wicket

WICKET Bohannon c Vasconcelos b White 128published at 17:30 British Summer Time 27 July 2023

    Lancashire 382-3 v Northamptonshire 342

The new ball does work for Jack White.

The first five balls went for 13 but he removes Josh Bohannon with the sixth.

White gets one to bounce a bit more and Bohannon steers it to slip, where it's brilliantly caught one-handed by a diving Ricardo Vasconcelos.

A super knock from Bohannon, though off 165 balls and just what his team required.

  14. Postpublished at 17:28 British Summer Time 27 July 2023

    Notts 350 & 43-0 v Kent 316

Although they haven't taken a wicket, Joey Evison and Matt Quinn have done a good job of checking Nottinghamshire's progress.

The Kent bowlers have conceded only 16 in nine overs between them and four of those came just now when Haseeb Hameed swiped a rare loose ball from Evison to the rope at long leg.

Hameed has 14, with Ben Slater on 27 and Notts lead by 77.

  15. 6 runs

Out of the ground!published at 17:28 British Summer Time 27 July 2023

    Somerset 170 & 220-9 v Surrey 368

    Gus Atkinson to Craig Overton...

    Six, six, four.

The second of those sixes was so picked over midwicket that it went over the stand and out of the ground!

  16. new ball

New ballpublished at 17:26 British Summer Time 27 July 2023

    Lancashire 379-2 v Northamptonshire 342

Jack White has a new ball in his hand and Phil Salt has walloped the second ball for a one-bounce four.

And the third ball is pulled away for four more.

Northants are having a shocker of a day. They can't stem the bleeding.

Ollie Price goes to his half-century at Cheltenham College. Good work this from the Price brothers.

  18. 50 runs

for Craig Overtonpublished at 17:22 British Summer Time 27 July 2023

    Somerset 170 & 204-9 v Surrey 368

It is not going to change the result of this match, but it's a nice milestone for Craig Overton.

Coming off 57 balls, it's a late show of defiance from the Somerset number nine.

  19. 50 runs

50 partnership between Overton and Bashirpublished at 17:19 British Summer Time 27 July 2023

    Somerset 170 & 202-9 v Surrey 368

Something of a moral victory for Somerset, who probably couldn't envisaged avoiding an innings defeat when Craig Overton and last man Shoaib Bashir came together at 149-9.

Almost 10 overs later, the pair have added 53 and taken Somerset past 200, with Overton bringing up that landmark by walloping Gus Atkinson over the top for six.
