Zak Crawley clubs Travis Head's first ball down the ground for four, though I'm not sure how it escaped to the rope as there were two fielders out there.
Three singles to complete the over feels rather tame in comparison.

Australia are looking pretty rattled at the moment. There are runs everywhere here for England.
There is a change - Travis Head is back.
It feels like Pat Cummins has tried everything else.

I want to see a change here for Australia, either Marsh or a spinner.
England have scored 80 runs in the last 10 overs. No wonder Old Trafford is buzzing.

I'm not usually the emotional type, I'm solid during The Notebook, but I did just shed a tear of appreciation and joy as Crawley reached the ton.

Ben De Forest-Brown: Always rated Crawley, never said a bad word about him…
WizardOfFire: Over the moon for Zak Crawley... well batted
Ed Franklin: May have had a bit of luck, but that is a hugely important 100 from Crawley at a crucial time in the series. Pressure being piled on Australia at the moment.

Meanwhile, Joe Root is plundering more runs at the other end, pulling a Pat Cummins short ball away for four.

What a noise for Zak Crawley - and he deserves every decibel of it!
The crowd rise as one for the England opener.

This has been a thoroughly amazing century, he's been screaming along. Well done Zak Crawley, very entertaining to watch.
Zak Crawley cuts at a wide delivery from Pat Cummins. He doesn't quite time it but the ball lands into space in the off side and he runs two to bring up his century.
The England players rush onto the balcony to salute their team-mate. Crawley has a beaming smile on his face as he raises his bat, with the Old Trafford crowd rising to their feet.

Greg Double: At what point do we stop calling it an inside edge/false shot and start calling it 'the Crawley Cut'? He gets so many runs with it.

This is absolutely gripping cricket to watch.
