Australia are just lacking rhythm, they just need to relax here. They definitely can't afford a wicket off a no ball.

Australia's plight is perhaps summed up by Mitchell Marsh bowling two no-balls in an over. The tourists are desperately pushing for some kind of inspiration.
They will probably be grateful to get in at tea to regroup.

I'm on holiday in Greece. It's very hot today so thought I'd take my boat down the coast and go for a swim.. The engine's just broken and I'm limping back to port at 4 knots.. No shade, 47C and 90 mins to go - it's scorching.. Luckily I have TMS on BBC Sounds to keep me company. Come on England!

I'd imagine there are a lot of Richie Benaud impressions being done around the ground about now.

It's a Richie Benaud - 222-2!
This session just keeps on giving.

Australia just have to hang in there and remember it only takes one ball for a wicket.

Root has absolutely nailed that reverse ramp! Brendon McCullum is so cool and calm in the dressing room, he's just watching on in admiration.
There it is! Joe brings out the Rooop as Mitchell Marsh is dispatched over the wicketkeeper for six!
The Australia players look shell-shocked. They seem powerless to stem the flow of runs at the moment.
Want to watch the best of Zak Crawley's hundred?
Of course you do.

Currently following the cricket from a maternity ward nervously awaiting the arrival of twin boys. Been wondering about names; Zach and Joe climbing up the rankings at the moment...

To me it seems a bit frantic out there, being reactive and not proactive. Australia have got the best line up in the world, can't they just go back to basics?

The umpire has been harsh today, he's been working with millimetres.

Hmmm, has Australia's day got even worse? Mitchell Starc is grimacing after making a sliding stop on the boundary trying to prevent a four.
It looks like he will be OK, though the third umpire ruled Starc's foot was touching the rope as he clawed it back so gives England the boundary anyway.

I am half way up the Idyllwild mountain in California, desperately searching for reception. It’s beautiful but teeming with rattlesnakes. Hitting refresh brings a new level of hazard if you’re not watching your feet!

England reign high here, it's all been happening.

It is got to the point in the game where the crowd are ironically cheering the Aussie players every time they field the ball.
A push from Crawley into mid-wicket brings up the England 200.
Australia have finally turned to Mitchell Marsh, who dismissed Zak Crawley in both innings at Headingley.
This has been Zak Crawley's day so far.

A colleague of mine who is at Old Trafford as a fan today predicted an 80-ball century for Zak Crawley.
I'm loathe to give them any credit... so I won't, they were 13 balls off. Shame.
