Aus 42-0published at 12 overs

Another colleague has just reminded us that both England openers had been dropped in that 62. It's a fair reply.

Sam Drury keeps reminding us all that England were 62-0.
Don't panic yet is very much his message.

Re Andy in Weatherby (17:00). My job is scouting for new comedians. Is Andy looking for rep?
From J in London
Chris Woakes starts with a floaty delivery and it draws an uppish drive from David Warner but it is in the gap and runs away for four.
Warner is up to 18 and Khawaja 15.

Why oh why is Jimmy Anderson still in the team? He's not good enough anymore and never has been against the Aussies.
Tim, Dorset
Against Australia in home Ashes Tests, Jimmy Anderson has a bowling average of 37.33. Before this series, it was 33.38. Between 2013 and 2015, it was 28.93.
A quiet start from Mark Wood with Usman Khawaja just picking up a couple through mid-off.
It will be a double change with Chris Woakes replacing Stuart Broad at the other end.

If England draw 2-2, Bazball will be justified. If it ends 3-1 or 2-1, what will that do for England?
Just a single from Stuart Broad's latest over. I suspect we'll see a change at that end.
We were seeing one at the other end. Mark Wood is on for James Anderson.

piemontemio: This has Australia 470 all out written all over it. I can feel it in my bones.
This is a good example of James Anderson struggling with his line.
James Anderson's radar hasn't been quite right so far.
There's been a couple of good balls to beat Usman Khawaja but he hasn't been able to consistently land it on a spot.
He strays onto the hips of Khawaja and the opener is able to just glance fine for four.

Andy - Are you ok? I am concerned.

Regarding Andy's question at 17:00. The answer is yes. He would.
Jon, Durham
There's lots of loud "no runnn" from David Warner at the moment.
You feel like he is trying to get himself in the zone and battle through this period.

Broad has got Warner three times in this series for 57 runs, with Warner averaging 19 against Broad this series.
Hmmmm.
There's no bat or glove.
It just comes off the bicep of David Warner after some extra bounce from Stuart Broad.
England lose a review.
Have England got David Warner caught behind?
Stuart Broad was convinced (I know, I know!) but the rest took some convincing.
I thought I heard two noises.
A rank wide ball from James Anderson is duly punished with minimal fuss by David Warner.
He then hones in more on the stumps but Warner and Khawaja are equal to it.
Streaky with the bat?
He's England second-highest run-scorer in the series, Andy.

Quick question - if Stokes wasn't captain would he get in the side? Streaky with the bat and doesn't bowl due to injury.
Andy in Wetherby
David Warner clips Stuart Broad through square leg for a well-run two, before keeping the strike with a nudge into point.
