Oh I say, what a shot that is. A bit low on the bat, but Woakes got a good piece on that.

    Chris Woakes! Lovely strike.

I think Jimmy Anderson thinks that a block is a reverse sweep.

    Never mind survive.

James Anderson plays a conventional sweep but turns down the single.

A reverse sweep is then crunched straight to short fine leg.

Those shots deserved more than no runs.

There are a few people standing to applaud Jimmy Anderson to the crease. I wonder if they think this could be the last time they see him.

    Another one goes.

Stuart Broad follows the boundary with a chip over mid-on before a couple.

He then steps away and slogs Pat Cummins up in the air and Travis Head, in the covers, steadies himself and then waits and waits and waits for the ball to drop into his hands.

    Good catch.

That was almost a brilliant piece of captaincy, it was at a catchable height, just three yards away. That is homework, that is research. If that had been caught, that would've been outstanding.

    Catch ittt!

    No.

Stuart Broad almost picks out the fly gully but it lands inches away and runs to the fence.
