It's more about time than how many runs ahead England can get. They have already achieved such a huge milestone going past 400. For them to reach this point already they have done so well.

They will want to bowl to Australia later in the day.

Tammy Beaumont has scored runs all around the wicket so far.

Can she get another five to become the first England women's batter to make a double century?

England all-rounder on BBC Test Match Special

Tammy Beaumont is an absolute cricket badger, she loves the game. She loves batting and she is hugely competitive. She just lives and breathes the game.

She is one of those people that always wants to be batting. In the nets if there is a spare slot that is her in there. She is hugely annoying to play against so I'm very glad she's my captain in The Hundred this summer!

She's had to work really hard actually. In the last couple of years she's dropped out of the T20 side and she's gone away and worked really hard on her game and probably been a bit more comfortable in her own skin. I think it just shows how comfortable she is out there at the moment and really enjoying her cricket.

    Thanks, Mike.

My second post of the day referenced Betty Snowball's record, so I must have sensed something special was going to happen today.

Can Tammy Beaumont go on and make 200 now?

England score 120 runs from 28 overs in the session for the loss of three wickets.

Australia persisted with the old ball after lunch, picking up the wicket of Sophia Dunkley. Test debutant Danni Wyatt came to the crease and scored swiftly alongside opener Tammy Beaumont.

Both Wyatt and Amy Jones fell to Australian seamers once they took the new ball, but Beaumont pushed on to take the record for England's highest individual score in any format of the game.

I think Australia will be happy with their afternoon session. They would want to get through Ecclestone and won't mind starving Beaumont of the strike.

Perry has bowled well but she hasn't been given enough overs.

  17. Tea: Eng 428-6published at 111 overs

Beaumount runs a no-ball to give Sophie Ecclestone the strike.

The England spinner gets off the mark with a four through square leg before lofting a slow wide ball over gully for another boundary.
