That really caught Tahlia McGrath on the crease, upset her footwork and Alice Capsey was able to get through her defence.

It didn't really turn too much but it was the flattening of the flight that did it for Capsey.

  2. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 30 overs

    McGrath b Capsey 24 (Aus 144-4)

    Bowled her!

Alice Capsey has bowled very well since coming into the attack and now she has her reward.

It's a slightly quicker, flatter delivery, Tahlia McGrath plays down the wrong line and the ball goes straight on to hit off stump.

    Big wicket for England.

England have done extremely well to create chances, but three of those four catches you would expect to be taken.

  4. Aus 141-3published at 29 overs

According to CricViz's captaincy grid, Sarah Glenn is the worst of England's options to bowl to Beth Mooney.

The leg-spinner has done well enough so far but there are jus a couple of signs that Mooney is ready to try and push on again.

Only five from the over but with a couple of powerful leg-side shots by the left-hander.

England are slowing down the pace of the game with the spinners.

  6. Aus 136-3published at 28 overs

There is a slightly nervous glance from Beth Mooney as she skips down and lofts the ball over cover.

But she soon sees it is going to fall safely into the gap and sprints through for two.

This has been a decent little spell from the England spinners, though, to slow the run-rate.

  7. Aus 132-3published at 27 overs

Sarah Glenn is really making the Australia batters do the work, bowling at a very gentle pace.

Any pace on the ball will have to be generated by the batters themselves. Just three from the over.

It might have been a couple more but for some excellent work from Danni Wyatt in the deep.

England need a wicket here, I think Australia are on top now.

  9. Aus 129-3published at 26 overs

    McGrath 17, Mooney 23

Very tidy start from Alice Capsey as her first over costs just a pair of singles.

The youngster does nearly find a wicket as Tahlia McGrath tries to turn the ball to leg and gets a leading edge that loops into the off side... but lands safely.

England need something special from Alice Capsey, she managed to give them something at Lord's. She has played in five ODIs and this is the first one where she would have bowled.

Thanks, Tom. It all looks pretty evenly poised and England are going to make a bowling change.

Alice Capsey is into the attack to bowl a bit of off-spin. After her starring role with the bat the other night, what can she do with the ball?

We have reached the halfway stage of the innings so it is time for me to take a break, maybe get something sweet to keep me going into the evening.

Here is Sam Drury to guide you through the rest of the Australia innings.

I'd like to see some Lauren Bell again to see if she is going to get any movement.

  14. Aus 127-3published at 25 overs

Good running from Australia as Beth Mooney drops the ball into the on side and scampers through for a single.

Australia are rotating the strike well and their left hand/right hand combination is unsettling the England fielders.

Tahlia McGrath looks so comfortable at the crease.

  16. Aus 125-3published at 24 overs

Shot! Tahlia McGrath holds the pose as she drives gloriously through the covers for four.

    Fantastic technique.

This was the second Australia wicket to fall, though England will feel they should have more.

England... what are you doing?! You need to be taking that. Moments like this is where this Ashes series is won or lost.

  19. dropped catch

Mooney dropped on 18published at 22.4 overs

    Oh dear. Another drop.

A full toss from Sarah Glenn is slashed to Kate Cross at mid-off but she spills the chance diving forwards.

England cannot afford to keep dropping these chances.

It's a great effort from Tammy Beaumont but it does go down as a drop.
