This has been a crazy over! What an exhibition this is! Stokes isn't finished, that's for sure. This is THE most extraordinary cricket at the moment.

That man is a freak. An absolute freak.

They’ll hear these cheers at Chester-le-Street.

100 for Ben Stokespublished at 55.4 overs

    Eng 235-6

This is incredible! Ben Stokes smashes three sixes in a row to reach his 13th Test hundred!

It almost went unnoticed given the atmosphere and all that is going on at Lord's, it comes up from 142 balls.

This is just remarkable. The firs of those sixes was nearly caught by Mitchell Starc at fine leg but he was falling over the rope as he tried to grab it.

    I’ve gone outside.

Lord’s is going full Hollies. Boos, cheers, chants, the lot. It’s vicious.

There’s a man below me leaping out of his seat to roar Ben Stokes on.

    This stinks of Headingley!

  7. 6 runs

    Eng 223-6published at 55.2 overs

    Target 371

Ben Stokes on the hook... and it carries all the way for six!

Visceral is the word. Lord's is as raucous as I've heard it, bar maybe the World Cup final!

As long as Stokes is there and can find someone to support him then the game is on!

  9. Eng 216-6published at 55.1 overs

    Four more!

Ben Stokes slams the ball through mid-on and Josh Hazlewood makes a meal of it on the boundary.

The crowd delight in it as you would expect.

When you sit back on that moment, you look at it and think does it feel right that the appeal was upheld?

  11. Eng 212-6published at 55 overs

    Target 371

The last ball of the over goes through to Alex Carey.

Stuart Broad goes to leave his ground then makes a point of going back to make sure he is in his ground.

No doubt a word or too more for the Australia wicketkeeper.

  12. Eng 212-6published at 54.5 overs

    Target 371

More boos as Australia appeal for a caught behind down the leg side against Stuart Broad.

Broad again gestures angrily. He's riled up, Ben Stokes has a steely rage-induced focus about him. This is going to run and run.

A VERY controversial dismissal of Jonny Bairstow.

  14. dropped catch

Stokes dropped on 77published at 54.1 overs

    Eng 211-6

Flat-batted back at the bowler by Ben Stokes and Pat Cummins can't hold on.

It would have been a fantastic catch but Stuart Broad makes sure Cummins knows it is definitely a drop!

The crowd is still booing, it's going to be the talking point for a long, long time.

  16. Eng 211-6published at 54 overs

    Target 371

If Australia wanted to unite England and their fans after some discontent over England's approach, they've done a very good job of it.

Pat Cummins' over starts with a wide to bring more roars from the crowd.

And again! Ben Stokes nails this one through mid-wicket for another boundary.

If England are going down here, Stokes is going to make sure they go down swinging.
