Chamari Athapaththu is quickly into her work!
Too wide this time from Kate Cross and Athapaththu crashes the ball through the covers for her second boundary of the over.
Swing for Kate Cross for ball but that takes it onto the pads of Chamari Athapaththu.
The Sri Lanka captain effortlessly clips the ball away fine for four.
I'm certainly among those who would have liked to see Bess Heath given a go. But there is still one match left in the series so we may well get to see her then.
For now, though, it's Amy Jones behind the stumps with Kate Cross preparing to bowl the first over of the day.
Chamari Athapaththu is on strike.

Some people will be grumbling that Alice Davidson-Richards has been given a go instead of Bess Heath, but it's because England have gone quite spin heavy, but England are a seamer light and Davidson-Richards can bowl seam.
Alice Capsey is becoming a genuine all-rounder, which Heather Knight will hate because she loves to come on and pinch wickets.

This will be the 19th times the two teams have met in ODI cricket, Sri Lanka have only passed 200 twice. I think 200 should be the goal for them.
The forecast for this afternoon isn't brilliant so don't be surprised if they are forced off at some stage.
But for now, it's dry and we're just a couple of minutes away from the first ball.

I think just based on the team sheet, England have much less swing bowling than they did at Saturday. Chamari Athapaththu will be licking her lips and be looking to use the pace of Lauren Filer to her advantage.
Mahika Gaur is resting today but she has spent some of her time off chatting to Alex Hartley and Kate Cross on No Balls: The Cricket Podcast.
Just two weeks after her England debut, 17-year-old Mahika discusses her journey to international cricket, and reflects on the T20 series defeat by Sri Lanka.
Provided the rain says away, play will start at 13:00 BST.
That's a mere 10 minutes away...

I would like to see a big performance today from Tammy Beaumont just to keep hammering that nail in after the summer she has had.

Tammy Beaumont in home ODIs has 2,145 runs. Only two England players have more, Charlotte Edwards on 2,149 and Sarah Taylor on 2,154. Beaumont needs 10 runs today to move to top of that list.
England: Tammy Beaumont, Maia Bouchier, Heather Knight (capt), Nat Sciver-Brunt, Alice Capsey, Alice Davidson-Richards, Amy Jones (wk), Charlie Dean, Sarah Glenn, Kate Cross, Lauren Filer.
Sri Lanka: Chamari Athapaththu (capt), Harshitha Samarawickrama, Vishmi Gunaratne, Hansima Karunaratne, Kavisha Dilhari, Anushka Sanjeewani (wk), Oshadi Ranasinghe, Inoka Ranaweera, Achini Kulasuriya, Hasini Perera, Kawya Kavindi.

I am slightly surprised because I thought England wanted to give themselves a test to try and guarantee 50 overs batting and test this top five or six in the batting order.
If England do win with a big gap, they will probably look to bat for longer on Thursday at Leicester.
Sri Lanka captain Chamari Athapaththu: "We'd definitely have bowled first because of the conditions but I'm pretty confident about our bating unit.
"We'll try our best to execute our plans at the right time today.
"We know that they've got a good bowling attack, they bowled a good line and length in the last game but hopefully today we can play some good cricket.
"230 or 240 is a good score on this wicket. We have a good bowling attack so that'd be a good score."
England captain Heather Knight on Sky Sports: "We'll have a bowl. There's a bit of weather around so hopefully that'll suit us.
"We have got a couple of changes. Mahika Gaur bowled really well the other day but she'll have a rest. Alice Davidson-Richards comes back in.
"Charlie Dean is in, and Emma Lamb has got a back spasm so that means Maia Bouchier will get an opportunity to open and I'm looking forward to see how she goes.
"It was a really professional performance the other day and we want exactly the same today."
The coin toss goes England's way and Heather Knight wastes no time in putting Sri Lanka in to bat.
The toss is just a few moments away but while we wait for that, here's the best of the action from England's thumping win in Durham on Saturday...
There was a bit of drizzle momentarily but that's disappeared as quickly as it appeared and the news from Northampton is that the toss will take place in a few minutes' times.
The good news is that the rain appears to have stopped in Northampton and the umpires are already out having a look.
England are also out to warm up so fingers crossed we'll have news on a start time soon.
No sign of the Sri Lanka players just yet, though. They might quite fancy a shortened game...
