    Target 287

A testing over of plays and misses, with a wide thrown in for the Netherlands' first run, before Vikram Singh plays a lovely cover drive that is brilliantly chased down by Shadab Khan which restricts them to three.

A hint of swing out there for Shaheen, but no first over breakthrough for him today.

This total of 287 is a teasing one.

    Target 287

Full, swinging delivery from Shaheen to start that Vikram Singh can't resist.

He has a waft outside off stump which draws a few 'ooohs' from the Pakistan fielders and the crowd.

So after an innings that fluctuated quite a lot, it's time for the Netherlands to begin their chase.

They need 287 to win, which will be a tough ask against the likes of Haris Rauf and Shaheen Afridi.

The latter has a useful knack of taking a wicket (or two) in his first over. Can he keep up the trend today?

Colin Ackermann then closed out the innings as Haris Rauf was stumped for an entertaining 16.

Rauf will have ball in hand shortly as Pakistan get ready to unleash their fearsome fast bowlers for the first time in this World Cup.

You can always rely on Pakistan for entertainment, though.

    This was pure chaos.

Bas de Leede did most of that damage.

The all-rounder twice took two wickets in an over to remove the set batters and disrupt Pakistan's progress.

He dismissed Rizwan for 68, and then broke the growing partnership between Nawaz and Shadab that was just starting to accelerate towards the end of the innings.

After the loss of three early wickets, Saud Shakeel and Muhammad Rizwan added a vital partnership of 120 to steer Pakistan to a position of somewhat safety.

But every time they looked to be taking the game away, the Netherlands' bowlers produced a bit of magic to shift things.

Roelof van der Merwe: "We executed well tonight. We kept them under pressure with our fielding all the time too.

"You've got to look at match-ups and Dutt bowled beautifully up top and took the ball away.

"It is always about partnerships. The pitch might get a little bit better under lights later.

"You do get grumpy as you get older! I'm happy with that though, we bowled and fielded well. We've just got to get partnerships with the bat."

When you win the toss and bowl first, nowadays if you keep the opposition to around 280 or 290, you're well in the game.

The Netherlands back themselves with the bat and they bat deep. I sense that they feel well in this even though they're up against a much-vaunted Pakistan bowling attack.

This game is in the balance.

A decent effort from the Netherlands all the way through.

They took three wickets in the powerplay to leave Pakistan on the back foot, before Bas de Leede's 4-62 helped tear through the middle order.

As ever with Pakistan, there was brilliance, there was carnage and there was a whole lot of fun.

We'll recap the best bits of the innings now before the Netherlands begin their pursuit of 287 to win.

Lovely piece of work from Scott Edwards. The ball was right on the off side wide line, lovely glove work and Haris Rauf is short of his crease.

Really good take from Scott Edwards and he took the bails off in a flash as well.

Rauf st Edwards b Ackermann 16 (Pak 286)

    Gone!

Pakistan have been bowled out for 286 with an over left.

Haris Rauf tries to go for another big hit but Ackermann does well, throwing the ball wide out of his reach. The batter is miles out of is ground, and Scott Edwards does the rest.

Still, a handy cameo of 16 from Rauf has helped Pakistan to a decent total.

    Even better!

Colin Ackermann can only watch as Haris Rauf heaves the ball into the stands over mid-wicket.

  17. Pak 282-9published at 48.4 overs

    Four more!

Haris Rauf picks the gap perfectly on the leg side and adds another boundary.

These runs are like gold dust for Pakistan.

Haris Rauf is hitting the ball beautifully so Shaheen Afridi is more than confident in his abilities.

  19. Pak 274-9published at 48 overs

A single from the final ball of the over, and Haris Rauf keeps the strike.

There have been passages of chaos in this Pakistan innings but they do still have a decent total on the board, given the bowlers they've got at their disposal.

The main two are at the crease now, and to finish not out in this innings will see them carry momentum into their bowling.

Fist pump from Haris Rauf, he's got a boundary, he's happy.
