  1. Pak 273-9published at 47.4 overs

    Haris Rauf, you lucky man.

He takes a wild swipe at Bas de Leede, gets an edge just past the stumps and it beats the keeper to add four more to Pakistan's total.

  2. Pak 267-9published at 47 overs

After all that, the 47th over is complete and Pakistan's last pair of Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf has got three overs to get as many as they possibly can.

I'm wondering if that's the furthest anyone has ever run for no runs? He was two-thirds of the way down, got sent back and then went again - and was run out.

I'm trying to think how to possibly describe that. I'm not sure any of it makes sense!

Nawaz run out Ackermann 39 (Pak 267-9)

    Chaos!

Right, let me try and unpack this as succinctly as possible.

Shaheen Afridi attempts a reverse sweep, which draws an unsuccessful lbw appeal from the bowler.

Mohammad Nawaz sets off for the run but is sent back to the bowler's end. The throw is wide, so they set off for a run again, but Nawaz is late to respond and is eventually run out by miles thanks to a direct hit from Colin Ackermann at mid-off.

Very, very average cricket all round.

Babar Azam said Pakistan were aiming for 280 or 290 and they can still get that.

Shaheen Afridi can bat so they'll still be hoping of reaching their target. It's still a case of batting out your overs and then expanding your shots in the last couple of overs.

De Leede tried to get a yorker in but Shaheen Afridi was up to the task and clips it off his pad.

  8. Pak 266-8published at 46 overs

Four more to Shaheen as Bas de Leede, perhaps searching a bit too much for that five-for, drifts on to leg stump and that's easy pickings for any batter.

De Leede still has another two overs up his sleeve to reach the milestone, though. On two occasions he's taken two wickets in an over and broken the game open for his side.

  9. Pak 258-8published at 45 overs

Shaheen Afridi is so much fun to watch, whether it's with bat or ball in hand. He seems like one of those bowlers who really rates themselves with the bat, and every shot is played with a flourish, even if it's a defensive one.

Five overs to go, then. Who will make the most of them?

In 2003 World Cup, Netherlands' first game was against India. The bowled them out for 204 and their star bowler that day was Tim de Leede, Bas' father, who took 4-35.

I'll dig around to find out which father and son pairs have taken four-fors in World Cups.

  11. Pak 257-8published at 44.2 overs

Four precious runs for Pakistan as Shaheen gets an edge down to deep third.

Not the most controlled shot but each run is like gold dust for Pakistan from this position.

  12. Pak 252-8published at 44 overs

Shaheen Afridi survives the hat-trick ball but what an over from the Dutch all-rounder.

Pakistan are in danger of being bowled out.

It was a good delivery, not much you can do if you get that one first up as a bowler.

Hassan lbw b De Leede 0 (Pak 252-8)

    Gone!

It's umpire's call with the ball just trimming the bails, and Bas de Leede is on a hat-trick with one ball in the over remaining.

He has been brilliant, with 4-47 so far.

Pakistan keep losing their wickets in clusters.

Hassan Ali goes upstairs but he didn't go up straightaway.

It nipped back into him but height might be an issue.

    Is it two in two?!

Hassan Ali is given lbw first ball, but is convinced by his partner at the other end to review it.

It was a cross-seam delivery, maybe a little bit of movement but it was more the length that did for Shadab.

It was important innings from Shadab but he's frustrated.

What a delivery from De Leede! It was full, it was fast and Shadab missed it altogether.

  20. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 43.4 overs

    Shadab b De Leede 32 (Pak 252-7)

    Straight through!

More brilliant bowling from Bas de Leede, sticking to the basics and going full and straight to splatter Shadab Khan's stumps.

Shadab gives his helmet a little whack in frustration as he was just setting himself up for an explosive finish.
