Netherlands want to do the simple things well and I think they do that quite well but when push comes to shove, it's not quite enough. I do think they can roll someone, either a Bangladesh, Afghanistan or a team having a bad day.

Santner is getting real turn now. The later it goes on, the more turn Santner and Ravindra are getting.

  3. Ned 199-8published at 42 overs

    Target 323

Another over down and it's another good one - a wicket-taking one - for Mitchell Santner.

Just one from it as well. This match is crawling towards it's conclusion, mainly due to various stoppages for reviews and the like.

New Zealand have done well to bowl their overs so quickly, but the last three overs have taken about 20 minutes because of various forms of umpire faffage.

    Klein lbw b Santner 8 (Ned 198-8)

    Three reds!

It's a good delivery from Mitchell Santner and he does have a World Cup five-for!

He drifted the ball in to the right-handed Ryan Klein, pitched it on leg stump and got the turn to beat the bat and hit the batter in front.

It was going on to hit middle. New Zealand are two wickets away.

Santner has got his fifth wicket and they are almost certainly going to review and it makes sense to. They are seven down.

  7. Netherlands reviewpublished at 41.1 overs

Now Ryan Klein is given out lbw after being struck in front by Mitchell Santner.

That would be the spinner's five-for but Klein has reviewed. More in hope than expectation, surely.

  8. Ned 198-7published at 41 overs

    Target 323

So Sybrand Engelbrecht is still there and on we go. I think Tom Latham can feel very hard done by there.

Get the textbook out, the propeller heads will say that is out.

It's not out, I don't believe this and a free hit!

  11. Not outpublished at 40.5 overs

    Ned 198-7

Wow, that is extremely harsh. It's given as a no-ball because the slightest part of Tom Latham's gloves weren't behind the stumps for a fraction of a second.

By the time he took it, he was behind the stumps. But by th laws of that game, it's a no-ball.

It was pretty well bowled, almost the back-spinner. He saw Engelbrecht coming.

  13. Umpire reviewpublished at 40.5 overs

Sybrand Engelbrecht walks past one from Rachin Ravindra and is stumped.

He's most of the way off before being asked to wait by the umpires. They want to see where Tom Latham collected it.

If it was in front of the stumps then it'll be a no-ball.

  14. dropped catch

Engelbrecht dropped on 19published at 40.4 overs

    Ned 197-7

Sybrand Engelbrecht skips down and meets the ball on the full.

He hits it firmly but straight back at Rachin Ravindra. The bowler, perhaps distracted by a possibly collision with the non-striker, shells it.

    Another drop from New Zealand.

When it comes to the time of the arm wrestle, it is almost always going to be the stronger side that wins that battle.

  16. Ned 196-7published at 40 overs

    Target 323

The Netherlands can't add to that boundary late in the over.

There are 10 overs to go, barring something extraordinary, New Zealand are going to win. It's just a matter of how quickly and by how many runs.

Engelbrecht has played a few gorgeous shots. He played a drive when he got in, then a cut shot a bit earlier and now a brilliant pull shot.

    That's a nice shot, a muscular heave.

  19. Ned 194-7published at 39.2 overs

    Target 323

There we go! Short from Trent Boult and Sybrand Engelbrecht is onto it quickly.

He pulls it superbly in front of square for four.

  20. Ned 190-7published at 39 overs

    Target 323

Four singles from Rachin Ravindra's over, which doesn't really help either side.

The Netherlands need to score considerably quicker and New Zealand want three wickets to get this done and dusted.
