  1. Not outpublished at 15:38 British Summer Time 9 October 2023

Upon review, it does hit Edwards' right arm and loops up.

There was the question of whether it hit the left glove, but it is inconclusive and Edwards survives.

  2. New Zealand reviewpublished at 15:37 British Summer Time 9 October 2023

Edwards looks like he could be out. Henry bowls short and it is the easiest of catches for Latham.

There was a noise, but the finger does not go up. New Zealand review.

That is a lovely way to get to his half-century.

  4. 50 runs

50 for Ackermannpublished at 27.2 overs

    Ned 130-4

A brilliant shot from Ackermann to pass 50, clipping though the leg side field and it races away for four.

A big achievement but subdued celebrations, knowing just how tough the task of winning this game is.

Clattered back over the bowler's head by Edwards with some force.

  6. Ned 125-4published at 27 overs

    Target 323

Much less drama in this over. Edwards does get himself an early boundary as he thumps over Ravindra's head.

Six come from the over in total.

Matt Henry is now back into the attack.

  7. Ned 119-4published at 26 overs

    Target 323

You feel that any Netherlands hopes have now disappeared with the dismissal of Nidamanuru.

He had just built a partnership with Ackermann and the required rate seems to be quite the task against an attack as good as New Zealand's.

Captain Scott Edwards is in to try and salvage a fightback.

There was only ever one there. I know Lockie Ferguson was wrong-footed to start but it basically went straight to him.

Both of them were in the middle, Ackermann had his arms outstretched asking 'do you want it?' then decided he didn't want it.

Those Dutch supporters who so wildly applauded the dropped catch now have their hands on their heads because they know that is a cheap dismissal.

    Yes, no, maybe. Gone.

  10. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 25.4 overs

Nidamanuru run out (Ferguson) 21 (Ned 117-4)

    A complete mix-up!

New Zealand would have still been reeling the drop from the previous ball, but they respond to run out Nidamanuru on 21.

Ackermann clips the ball to deep square leg. They run the single, but a mix-up on the second, both men are stuck in the middle. Ferguson throws in from the deep and Latham does the rest.

  11. dropped catch

Ackermann dropped on 44published at 25.3 overs

It is not the first time New Zealand have not taken their chance. Ackermann chips one up in the air. Young runs and gets there, but puts it down.

    Trent Boult is not amused.

This is probably the Netherlands' last chance to kick on because that run-rate keeps going up and up and up.

  13. Ned 114-3published at 25 overs

    Target 323

Netherlands bring up the halfway mark with a Ravindra over that starts with a dot and is followed up with five consecutive singles.

The required run rate is now 8.36 an over, with Netherlands so far only scoring at a rate of 4.56.

Boult rolled his fingers over that one but it was a bit too short and just stuck in the wicket and sat up for Ackermann.

Didn't sound perfect off the bat but Ackermann got more than enough of it.

He'll be looking it play a big knock and will have to if the Netherlands are going to get anywhere close.

  16. Ned 109-3published at 24 overs

    Target 323

Boult had continued to be tough to score against, but a half-tracker in the over's penultimate is punished by Ackermann, thumping it through the leg side for four.

The experienced bowler responds by bowling a wide, giving Netherlands an extra delivery to end the over, although none is scored from it.

Eight runs in the over in total.

We're now going to see a spot of Trent Boult with the ball in hand.

He did not take any wickets in his first four overs, but he also did not give away too many runs, going for just 12.

  18. Ned 101-3published at 23 overs

    Target 323

An excellent recovery over from Ravindra after Santner's expensive over previously.

Just one run comes from it, although Ackermann and Nidamanuru are starting to form some kind of partnership.

15 from that over, Santner's figures have been somewhat mauled.

  20. Ned 100-3published at 22 overs

    Target 323

A very good over in the end from the Netherland, they score 15 from it, including a further four from Ackermann, swiping to the deep mid-wicket boundary.

More of the same is needed...
