Malan would have been out if that hit. The bat was over the line but he forgot to ground it.
Taskin Ahmed tries to use some of that anger to power a bouncer. However, he overcooks it and it's called wide - no doubt, adding to the fast bowler's frustrations.
Risky single last ball as Dawid Malan calls for the single after Joe Root guided the ball to backward point.
The throw was off target, Malan was in trouble with a direct hit because he didn't ground his bat.

Taskin thought he should have taken that. He is an angry man!

Nothing is going right for Bangladesh and now they've put down a catch - albeit a very tough one.
Joe Root flicked Taskin Ahmed towards mid-wicket, Towhid Hridoy dives to his right. He's at full stretch but does just get to the ball but can't cling on.
Taskin is not happy.

400 is on the cards from here with all the power to come. I can only think they bowled first today looking at the match the other day when they beat Afghanistan, but I don't think they have thought about their strategy today.
Root 51, Malan 127
Bangladesh have no answer to this England pair at the moment.
Shoriful Islam ends his over with a very full ball on the pads that Dawid Malan just clips down to fine leg for four.
I think we're going to be looking at a very big total here.

How good is Joe Root? In any situation or format.
Eng 227-1
The runs keep coming and so do the milestones, Joe Root pulls behind square for four to bring up his half-century.
He gets there from 44 balls. A second fifty in two World Cup games. The idea that he's out of form has been well and truly dismissed now.
A 38th ODI fifty for Root.

Barney Allen: Dawid Malan is a machine. Another England ton for him. Still think that he was very hard done by to be axed from the Test side.

If this continues, who knows how many England could get.
Six more!
Nailed back over Mehidy Hasan Miraz's head for another maximum for Dawid Malan.
That brings up the 100 partnership and Malan finishes the over with another boundary, backing away before pumping the ball through the covers.
Just the 22 from the over...
Too short now from Mehidy Hasan Miraz and this Dawid Malan wallops it over cow corner and into the stands for six!
He's got his hundred and now he's on the charge.

For the next seven or eight overs, England can capitalise on the fact Bangladesh will have an extra fielder inside the ring. There will always be a gap to hit into.
Mehidy Hasan Miraz - the Miraz was often overlooked in the past but is now key with Mahedi Hasan in the side as well! - comes on and Dawid Malan slog-sweeps.
Into the gap at mid-wicket for four.

With the power that is to come, it's time for England to start putting the hammer down.
Six from the over and that is Shakib Al Hasan bowled out.
The Bangladesh skipper ends with figures of 1-52 from his 10 overs.
This is looking ominous for Bangladesh.

Dawid Malan was punching the air before he’d even got halfway down the pitch there.
He never seems to be many people’s first choice but, after an iffy innings last week, has delivered when England needed to.

A fantastic knock. England will have asked the openers to set the tone and Malan and Jonny Bairstow did that. He has been studious and punished the bad balls. Very well played.
Eng 195-1
A quick single into the covers and that takes Dawid Malan to his century from 91 balls!
This has been a wonderful innings from the England opener.
ODI hundred number six for Malan and, even in these conditions, he has barely broken sweat in getting there.
