Dawid Malan aims a violent stroke leg side as Mustafizur continues but doesn't get all of it and has to settle for a single to the man in the deep.
Joe Root then picks out backward point with a well-timed shot before finding extra cover next ball with a drive.
He does then pull for a single. Just the two from the over.
Thanks, Stephan.
England are going along very nicely at the moment. The platform has been built, it's just a matter of how well Jos Buttler's side can use it.
Shakib won't bowl his 10, replaced by Mehidy Hasan. Root waits, still, in his stance and leaning over his bat. Singles the order of the day. Four off the over. Here's Sam Drury.

That's the second time that Joe Root has had a little bit of fortune. He's chipping it nicely into the gaps!
The Fizz is back. He seems OK. It would be poetic for him to take the wicket of Root, who then offers a leading edge that drops safe of mid-on. Touch of a charmed life for the former Test skipper so far.

It looks like he's just twisted his knee a little bit.

Trouble all round. I hope Mustafizur hasn't hurt himself.
Strange one. Mustafizur Rahman back on. Running in, but Joe Root backs away at the last minute. Mustafizur is almost through his action and goes over, hitting the deck. Now the physio is out there. Looks like a right ankle problem.

There will be more of that throughout the day which is why I'm surprised that Bangladesh chose to field first.
Malan 74, Root 12
Shakib is still bowling beautifully. He's found some grip in the surface and could bowl his 10 all the way through. England have gone with the extra seamer today, but it could turn later on.

England are playing great. Jonny Bairstow wasn't at his fluent best today but it was a really solid partnership with Dawid Malan, who has made it look so, so easy.
Malan 71, Root 11
The cameras have just picked up some shots of Jonny Bairstow. Despite making 52, he looks livid. Probably feels like he left at least 48 out there.

Beautiful. How classy was that shot? Just comfortable and well controlled. Nothing wrong with that from Joe Root.
It doesn't work like that, Tim. Majestic from Root, back over Mehidy Hasan's head for four.
Tim Ness: Pushing South Africa's score? That wicket is on you, Stephan!
Not only has he taken the wicket, but Shakib is the only Bangladesh bowler to have an economy less than five. He won't like this, though. A poor effort on the point fence gifts a boundary to Dawid Malan. There are some worried faces in the Bangladesh dugout.

If Bangladesh do not take wickets between now and the 30th/35th over, that right and left hand combination is going to cause a huge problem for Bangladesh.
It can't be both of you, can it? Why don't you go outside and sort it out?

Sorry everyone that's all on me, just got up to watch half an hour of action before work and that wicket was literally the first ball.
