A lovely shot. He waited, didn't quite get all of it, but it was sufficiently well struck.

That's a nice sign of intent.
There's very little sign on offer for Ravindra Jadeja so Azmatullah Omarzai knows he can line up a big hit.
He does it well and clubs over long-on for another six. He was six off 20 balls earlier, but he's up to 37 off 47 now.
A good over for Afghanistan as they take Jadeja for 12.
A return to pace for India as Jasprit Bumrah replaces Kuldeep Yadav.
It is more tight stuff, with just three runs coming off the over.
Are Afghanistan just going to try and build a platform for the final 10 overs? That may leave them short, even if they have an incredible 10.
Ravindra Jadeja rattles through another over, conceding just four.
He's got 0-19 from his first five overs. He's doing a good job of restricting Afghanistan.
Thanks Tom.
I'm not really sure what I've made of the first 25 overs.
The pitch looks very good, so it feels like Afghanistan are going to have to go some to post a score that will challenge India.
Hashmatullah Shahidi and Azmatullah Omarzai have just brought up their fifty stand and they need to keep going.
It looks like Afghanistan are ready to step things up if that over is anything to go by.
So it is a good job Callum Matthews is here to guide you through the action while I take a break.

That is good batting again because mid-off is up so it is low risk.
And again!
Azmatullah Omarzai skips down the track this time and launches the ball over long-off.
There we go!
Azmatullah Omarzai must have been listening as he launches Kuldeep Yadav down the ground for a huge six into the stand.
All the ones for Afghanistan as they run six singles off Ravindra Jadeja's latest over to bring up their 100.
They have recovered well from the loss of those three quick wickets, but the foot needs to be put on the accelerator soon if they are to get up to a competitive total.
Big appeal from Kuldeep Yadav as Hashmatullah Shahidi is hit on the back pad, the ball looked to be sliding down leg though and the umpire agrees.
India have already burnt a rather cheap review at the start of the innings so wisely against risking their second one.

I believe they are stopping the ball from hitting the boundary and throwing the ball back to speed up their over rate?

The match finally bursts into life again as Hashmatullah Shahidi goes for the slog-sweep that flies off the top-edge and disaapears for four.
No-ball is called too as India did not have enough fielders outside the circle - though Afghanistan can only take a single from the free hit.
Still, that's the most eventful over we have had in a while.

in these middle overs, at one stage when 280 was a winning score, then everyone was happy to rotate, but now it is about boundaries. You are looking to get at least one every two overs and then rotate.
Three singles from Kuldeep Yadav's latest over. Afghanistan are stuck in a rut here.
Just the single from Ravindra Jadeja's second over - he is 0-2 from two so far.
We have not had a boundary since the start of the 13th over.
These type of shots feel like a long time ago:
Three singles off the latest over from Kuldeep Yadav as the match grinds to a halt.
India will be more than happy with this as the run rate dips to below 4.5 an over. They are well in control of this match at the moment.
Ravindra Jadeja was excellent against Australia at the weekend, taking 3-28.
More no risk cricket from Afghanistan though, with just the single coming from the over.
Rahmat Shah was looking in good touch before being trapped in front by Shardul Thakur - though the replay showed it was a lot closer than on first look.
Afghanistan lost their final seven wickets for 44 runs against Bangladesh at the weekend. I think that is on their mind here as Hashmatullah Shahidi and Azmatullah Omarzai are not taking any risks, with just a single off Kuldeep Yadav's first over.
It is time for twin spin as Ravindra Jadeja enters the fray.
