  1. Ban 83-4published at 19 overs

Well-oiled is definitely the correct way to describe this Kiwi side.

Mitchell Santer could have been a ballerina in a different life, such is his graceful rhythmical approach to spin bowling.

Mushfiqur Rahim and Shakib Al Hasan content to pick up a single apiece off his third over.

When you watch New Zealand play, you feel as though it has all been talked about in the team room.

They're a very well-oiled operational team. They all know their roles, where they'll be for certain bowlers and different movements when a slower-ball bouncer comes.

I think they work on the 1% things more than other teams just to gain that small advantage.

NZ are the form team so far, but it would be good to see them lose a toss and then adapt to having to bat first!

  4. Ban 81-4published at 18 overs

Matt Henry, 0-26 off five overs, has looked the least threatening of New Zealand's bowling attack but he's still diligently probed away outside off stump and dropped in the occasional short ball.

Three singles off the over as Bangladesh retreat into their shells a little. Here's that Mushfiqur Rahim six down on knee from a little earlier.

New Zealand's ground fielding has been pretty much blemish free, as you'd expect. They're always so good in that area.

  6. Ban 78-4published at 17 overs

Back to Mitchell Santner's left-arm spin again.

He's six foot, but his lithe physique appears to add a few inches.

A maiden to start his second spell as Shakib Al Hasan takes a risk-averse approach.

  7. Ban 78-4published at 16 overs

Kane Williamson, never one to rest on his laurels, shuffles his pack again and Matt Henry returns to the attack.

Mushfiqur Rahim goes up and over the fielder at point to Henry's second dlivery as he cuts on the back foot, but a dive on the rope prevents the boundary.

Five runs off the over. The hirsute Williamson strokes his chin.

New Zealand the happier of the two sides at the first drinks break.

A lot on the shoulders of Bangladesh's two most experienced players now.

Just a little bit of breathing space for Rahim. Bangladesh's Mr Dependable, gets down on one knee and smashes that for six.

    Ban 73-4published at 15 overs

Glenn Phillips knocks the bails off with his back foot with the first ball of his second over, but Shakib Al Hasan is unable to cash in on off the free hit.

However, Mushfiqur Rahim takes the off-spinner to task later in the over as he goes down on one knee and heaves a six across the line into the stands.

Mushfiqur finishes the over with an audacious reverse sweep to the boundary for four.

  11. Ban 61-4published at 14 overs

Bangladesh's two most experienced players at the crease now in the form of captain Shakib Al Hasan and former skipper Mushfiqur Rahim.

The latter cashes in on a delivery from Ferguson which slips on to his legs which he flicks for four down past fine leg for four.

Ferguson's fourth delivery brings a waft from Mushfiqur which prompts a gasp from the Kiwi paceman.

Here's how Ferguson suckered Mehidy Miraz a few moments ago.

It felt like a panicked shot from Shanto. A simple defensive shot would have done the trick. Suddenly Shakib Al Hasan faces a significant rebuild.

    Shanto c Conway b Phillips 7 (Ban 56-4)

Glenn Phillips roars in celebration as he strikes with his first ball!

Bowling round the wicket to Najmul Hossain Shanto he gives the ball a bit of air and gets it to turn into the left-hander.

Shanto goes back and attempts to work it to leg but can only spoon the ball up to Devon Conway at square leg.

As easy as you like for New Zealand.

Mehidy was looking in good shape, scoring at a good rate. Disappointing from Bangladesh, once again they're struggling to reach that hundred mark without losing three or four wickets.

  15. wicket

    Miraz c Henry b Ferguson 30 (Ban 56-3)

Lockie Ferguson has done Mehidy Miraz like a kipper, as he is bounced out by the Kiwi quick.

A couple of short balls earlier in the over which the Bangladesh batter ignored was followed by a brief exhange of words.

This time Miraz takes on the bouncer and hooks it into the hands of Matt Henry down at fine leg.

  16. Ban 56-2published at 11.3 overs

Lockie Ferguson has found some rhythm, pace and aggression to his bowling

His second ball to Hasab Miraz is short and nasty.

Here's how Ferguson bagged the wicket of Tanzid Hasan a few moments ago.

  17. Ban 55-2published at 11 overs

Mitchell Santner wheels away round the wicket.

After three singles for the Bangladesh pair the Kiwi left-arm spinner pulls his cuffs up to his forearms and makes a tweaks to the field.

There's not a huge amount of turn for the Kiwi in the remainder of the over so his job will be more be about containment and building pressure.

Najmul Hossain Shanto tickles Santner's final ball off his pads, beyond the grasp of Tom Latham, and picks up four.

  18. Ban 46-2published at 10 overs

Mehidy Miraz has oozed class for Bangladesh so far.

He picks up four off Lockie Ferguson with a back foot punch behind point. Not too disimilar to this shot against Matt Henry from a little earlier.

    End of the first powerplay.

  19. Ban 41-2published at 9 overs

Spin for the first time today as the tall angular figure of Mitchell Santner replaces Trent Boult.

It's a disciplined start from the left-arm spinner as Najmul Hossain Shanto and Mehidy Miraz play watchfully.

The Kiwis are generally very strong in the field. Tanzid had been looking good. He gets a leg stump half volley, thinks four, flicks it straight in the air to square leg. No wonder it's a slow walk off, he thinks he was due for a big one.
