  1. NZ 206-2published at 39 overs

Glenn Phillips has entered the fray in place of Williamson and he takes a single from his first delivery.

Mitchell follows that by clouting Mustafizur back over his head for four.

Oh dear. Kane Williamson is sort of storming off after that thumb injury. He sort of pulled up with the pain. We don't want that to be a fleeting appearance at this World Cup. Let's hope it is not serious.

    NZ 200-2

    Oh, what's going on here.

Kane Williamson is marching off the field at pace. He hadn't been on strike, and had just run through a single, Daryl Mitchell bringing up the New Zealand 200 with an outside edge off Mustafizur to deep third.

Both captains are now off the field with suspected injuries. Let's hope they're not serious problems as it would be a significant blow to the tournament. Williamson has looked very strong on his return today.

Daryl Mitchell's eighth score of 50 or more in ODI. He's converted four of them to hundreds.

  5. NZ 198-2published at 38 overs

48 runs required from 72 balls

Pulled single down to fine leg from Mitchell.

New Zealand are now within fifty runs of their target.

An imperious stroke from Daryl Mitchell. One handed and the shot of the day.

  7. NZ 197-2published at 37.3 overs

    Huge from Mitchell!

He launches Taskin down the ground, holding the bat high at the top of the arc with his bottom hand dropping off the handle, like a baseball player in a batting cage.

That's the 100 partnership too, coming in 17.2 overs.

  8. NZ 191-2published at 37.1 overs

    Eeesh, that's a stinger.

Kane Williamson pushes a single to mid off and jogs through. The throw comes in from the fielder there and it raps the thumb of the top hand, jamming it against the bat handle.

That's really unlucky, it's the only unprotected digit on a cricket glove. The physios on - it's a lengthy delay but it looks like he'll be OK to continue.

Fifty for Mitchellpublished at 37 overs

    NZ 190-2

That's a way to move to fifty!

Flat swept six from the New Zealand batter, flies uninterrupted over the ropes.

Shakib delivers two final dot balls after that and that's the close of his ten overs. He's got figures of 1-54 and immediately departs the field - he had the physio on during the Bangladesh innings, so might still be having some trouble.

  10. NZ 182-2published at 36 overs

Daryl Mitchell hits this over's four boundary, taking advantage of some returning pace for Taskin to pull to the boundary.

    64 more required.

Bangladesh's batting remains a concern and the worry is how you fix it? They have done so much right over the past four years but all anyone sees is their performance on the big stage at a World Cup. It's not great PR when it comes to tours to Bangladesh and whatever else.

Kane Williamson has not batted for seven months but he's back in the groove with his comfy slippers on.

  13. NZ 174-2published at 35 overs

Mitchell's turn to run a ball down to the boundary, turning Shakib's ball round his legs and through a vacant fine leg.

After the last two overs, New Zealand's run-rate has slipped above the required rate. It didn't take all that much.

Bangladesh have lacked potency. They've bowled all five of their bowlers and I wonder if they look at who they pick for the next game just to bring some new energy to this attack.

They're more or less going through the motions now.

Terrific shot from Kane Williamson. He's just got this gorgeous, deft touch.

  16. NZ 169-2published at 34 overs

Are we sure Kane Williamson was injured for all those months? Have we checked he wasn't somewhere in the New Zealand mountains crashing it about off a bowling machine?

Not a hint of rust, here. Facing Mehidy, he times a delicate scoop past the keeper perfectly - four runs all the way.

  17. NZ 161-2published at 33 overs

Is Shakib going to bowl out his spin ranks? He returns for an eighth over, while Mehidy has seven at the other end.

Three singles, the partnership now worth 69.

Williamson is starting to go a bit now. He knows exactly where the spaces are and that's an easy boundary for him.

  19. NZ 158-2published at 32 overs

Kane Williamson steps it up a little, slapping Mehidy with ease through a big gap at square leg for four.

Mitchell then mistimes an attempted lift over mid-off. He gets just enough on it to clear the midfielder but doesn't make the ropes, running two instead.

New Zealand are in cruise control but they haven't completely taken this game by the scruff of the neck.

Bangladesh know a couple of quick wickets could bring them back into it.
