Not a situation I was expecting England to be in at this stage, Afghanistan were 51-0 at this stage and they are all over England.
Afghanistan win by 69 runs to beat England for first time and only their second World Cup win
England bowled out for 215, but Brook makes impressive 66 in middle order
Spinners Mujeeb and Rashid take 3-51 & 3-37 respectively
England lose regular wickets with only two players passing 12
Afghanistan bowled out for 284 in 49.5 overs
Rashid 3-42, Wood 2-50 - Root, Livingstone & Topley take one each
Two run outs, including Gurbaz who made blistering 80

Mujeeb Ur Rahman is a tall guy, bowls with a tall action but that ball barely bounced. That's what has done for Joe Root.
Target 285
Harry Brook is the new batter and pushes the last ball of the over to mid-wicket for no run.
Another replay of that Joe Root dismissal shows just how low the ball stayed. It skidded under his bat and hits barely a third of the way up the stumps.
That will be a worry for England if that continues.

Wonderful bowling. The previous ball went for four but Joe Root goes back to the googly and is bowled through the gate.
England's rock, the man who bats through the middle order and holds it together, is gone. They are in a bit of trouble.
Root b Mujeeb 11 (Eng 33-2)
Bowled 'im! Another ball that stays low.
Joe Root was able to get the previous ball that stayed very low away for four but this one on an off stump line and skids through him.
Well bowled by Mujeeb Ur Rahman but it is the lack of bounce that did for Root.
England are wobbling a little early in this chase.
Target 285
Dragged down twice in a row by Mujeeb Ur Rahman and after hitting the first to the fielder at short fine leg, Joe Root doesn't miss out on the next.
Pulled behind square for four. That did stay low, though.

I don't know what it is but something feels disjointed about this England squad, the batting and bowling not quite clicking, I'm still waiting for this England team to fire into life.

Target 285
Dawid Malan tucks the last ball of the over through square leg and scampers back for two.
That makes it seven from the over, more than good enough for England with a required rate of just 5.81.
Target 285
Super shot from Dawid Malan as he laces the ball through the covers for four.
It was a half-volley from Fazal Farooqi and Malan was quick to punish it.

Paul Lummis: I understand one umpire's call going with the on field decision, but surely if two of the three are umpires call, it's just a bad call?
Target 285
Another very tidy over from Mujeeb Ur Raham and he nearly gets Dawid Malan to drag on.
The left-hander chops the ball just past his leg stump as he tries to play through the covers.
Close but it brings one of three singles from the over.
Here is the wicket that left Jonny Bairstow so hot under the collar.
Ball-tracking shows it was just clipping the stumps - but only just...

A lot is happening, I think that is good for the tournament that we have games like this. You never want one team to take control. At 114-0, you would've though Afghanistan were hurtling towards a big total. Afghanistan going well here is good for the game, but they need a few more wickets.
Target 285
Single guided to deep backward point to end an eventful over, 10 from it plus that lbw review.
It's certainly not been a comfortable start for England.
Eng 18-1
Too high. It was just going over the top.
Dawid Malan might even have been through the shot early and was beaten by Fazal Farooqi, who has been lively so far.

I think he's not given it on height.
We've got another review as Fazal Farooqi squares up Dawid Malan and hits him on the pad.
It looks better than the Jonny Bairstow one but given not out. Reviewed at the last moment.
Too high maybe?
Target 285
A first boundary for Dawid Malan, albeit not one that he was in control of.
He tries to work the ball through the leg side, gets a leading edge and the ball goes past second slip on the bounce and runs away to the fence.
Four more! Width from Fazal Farooqi this time and Malan throws his hands at it, gets a good chunk of it and sends the ball behind square to the boundary.
Target 285
Just a couple of singles from Mujeeb Ur Rahman's over as England remain watchful after losing that early wicket.

Had that struck the stumps, that could've been close.
