Malan stands looking at the ground knowing he has gifted that wicket to Nabi. This is turning into a real problem. Such a soft dismissal.
Afghanistan win by 69 runs to beat England for first time and only their second World Cup win
England bowled out for 215, but Brook makes impressive 66 in middle order
Spinners Mujeeb and Rashid take 3-51 & 3-37 respectively
England lose regular wickets with only two players passing 12
Afghanistan bowled out for 284 in 49.5 overs
Rashid 3-42, Wood 2-50 - Root, Livingstone & Topley take one each
Two run outs, including Gurbaz who made blistering 80

Malan c Ibrahim b Nabi 32 (Eng 68-3)
Chipped straight to cover!
England are in trouble now as Dawid Malan gifts Afghanistan a wicket with a nothing shot.
He just pushes at one outside off, the ball from Mohammad Nabi maybe holds slightly in thee pitch and Malan just dollies it to Ibrahim Zadran.
I think a refresh was always likely regardless of how this tournament went, AJ, and it is still early days.

AJ Peake: Looks like it's one tournament too far for a lot of this England team. A clear-out is needed after the World Cup
Target 285
England pinch a quick single to end the Naveen-ul-Haq over, another good one for the defending champions.
Target 285
Width from new bowler Naveen-ul-Haq and Dawid Malan goes at it again.
He opens the face to try and guide it but this was still more of a thick edge that he was after.
Regardless, it sends the ball racing away to the boundary.
Now four leg byes, off the thigh pad of Malan and it runs away fine. They all count for England.

A loss here will almost certainly see England fail to advance beyond the group stage. With little to no rain expected, 4th place will likely be 6 wins; meaning England will need to win 5 from 6 against India, Australia, South Africa, Pakistan, Sri Lanka & Netherlands. Which at the moment, is looking highly improbable.

Target 285
Five singles from Mujeeb Ur Rahman's sixth over as Dawid Malan and Harry Brook are happy to just keep the scoreboard ticking over.
Here's how WinViz is currently looking.

Still plenty of overs left rebuild an take it deep. This team has a lot holes in both departments. Need the experience of Stokes and, if fit, Archer who knows India well from the IPL. Time for Brook to stand up today.

England are regrouping well here with Malan and Brook at the crease. Harry Brook is timing the ball as well as I have ever seen them here.
Target 285
Harry Brook middles another drive to end the powerplay but a good hand from the cover fielder takes the pace off it and the man at mid-off is able to chase it down.
Just two but another fine shot from Brook.

The timing there from Harry Brook is so good. The fielder at fine leg had zero chance of catching, it flew off the bat.
Target 285
Superb timing from Harry Brook, flicking the ball off his hip and just behind square for four.
Lovely shot to bring up the 50 for England.
This is the wicket of Joe Root. Well bowled by Mujeeb Ur Rahman but it stayed very low...
Target 285
A firm punch through the covers from Dawid Malan ends the over. It's chased down by Rashid Khan to keep them to two.
That's a productive over for England, though, with 10 from it.
One over left in the powerplay.
England have plenty of work to do and Dawid Malan is likely to have to play a big part.
You'd think his game is well suited to this sort of chase...
Target 285
Useful runs for England as Mujeeb Ur Rahman fires the ball down leg and it runs away for five wides.

Jason Roy is probably sat at home watching Jonny Bairstow at this World Cup so far thinking 'you have got to be kidding me'. Runs at the top of the order are just not working for England.
Target 285
When England chose to bowl first, they probably didn't account for the variable bounce.
A couple more deliveries that a little low in Fazal Farooqi's over but Dawid Malan is able to negotiate them.
