  1. Eng 213-9published at 40 overs

Reece Topley showing England's top order how it should be done with three consecutive boundaries off Fazalhaq Farooqi on a pitch which, in all honesty, still looks pretty good.

The first is edged, the second is a baseball-esque whack down the ground before he squirts the final ball through the covers.

  2. Eng 201-9published at 39.3 overs

Afghanistan coach Jonathan Trott still looks pretty emotionless, on the outside at least.

Mark Wood chips up Fazalhaq Farooqi's third ball in the air attempting to work it to leg but there's no fielder to grab the catch.

England's number 10 did find the boundary with a lovely shot a few moments ago. But it all feels a little forlon.

Great delivery from Rashid Khan. That flew quickly to slip, it was really well bowled.

In this match, Rashid got Rashid out. And Rashid got Rashid out.

Lovely piece of bowling from Rashid Khan and exactly why you want a leg-spinner at this stage of the innings when you're trying to eek out the lower order.

Afghanistan have been outstanding. Nothing should be taken away from how they've played and applied themselves.

Adil Rashid c Nabi b Rashid Khan 20 (Eng 198-9)

Adil Rashid goes one better than his ODI career average, but it will not be enough for England. Not today.

It was perfect piece of bowling from Rashid Khan to get rid of him.

The Aghanistan leg-spinner gives it some flight and gets the England batter reaching for it outside off stump. Adil Rashid cannot resist it, goes with hard hands, and edges it to Mohammad Nabi at first slip.

  7. Eng 197-8published at 38.3 overs

Rashid Khan back into the attack. Mark Wood goes for a big heave but bottom edges it into his pad which allows England to take a single.

Here's how Harry Brook was out a little earlier. The knowing lean on the bat after he realised what's occurred.

The highest partnership of this innings is 35. These two have put on 27 in 12 minutes!

Mark Wood (15) is now on his career best score with the bat in ODI cricket.

  10. Eng 196-8published at 38 overs

Mark Wood with a beautiful shot as he takes a ball from Fazalhaq Farooqi off the top of off stump and guides it through point for four.

Barely a flicker of emotion from England's dressing room, though.

England will definitely wheel Ben Stokes out in Mumbai but the extra pace of Gus Atkinson at that venue is definitely worth a try.

  12. Eng 190-8published at 37.2 overs

    Fazalhaq Farooqi into the attack.

Adil Rashid averages 19.00 in ODI cricket with a highest score of 69.

He'll need to play more of these types of shots if he is to be England's get out of jail free card.

Adil Rashid might have been just out of his ground but there wasn't sufficient backing up and the ball runs away. Five, the first of this World Cup.

  14. Eng 190-8published at 37 overs

Adil Rashid is fortunate not to be run out and England profit from overthrows as Mujeeb Ur Rahman's shy at the stumps is not backed up.

It would take something of a cricketing miracle for England to get home from here.

  17. Eng 183-8published at 36 overs

    Target 285

Mark Wood follows up that boundary by Adil Rashid with four of his own, heaving Rashid Khan into the leg side.

Here's how Chris Woakes was dismissed by Mujeeb Ur Rahman a little while ago.

Whipped away quite spectacularly by Adil Rashid - that's the way to do it!

  19. Eng 178-8published at 35.1 overs

England still need over a hundred but Adil Rashid is not throwing the towel in just yet, mind.

Rashid Khan drops it a little short and the England batter swivels and pulls it through mid-wicket for four.
