Perera b Cummins 78 (SL157-2)
A vital wicket - Perera goes!
A touch of movement from captain Cummins and Perera plays straight but down the wrong line - the swing is enough to beat the bat and stumps goes flying!
A fine innings from Perera but he'll be disappointed now to have reached three figures against what's been a largely benign Australian attack.

Sri Lanka are still in the ascendancy. They have played with a lot of control but now they need to make sure that they bat Australia out of the game.
Glenn Maxwell rattles through an over with the Sri Lankan pair taking four singles from the over.
Maxwell has now bowled six overs, twice the number of Adam Zampa and has gone for only six runs more.
Here's how Pat Cummins found the breakthrough and removed Pathum Nissanka.
A very good diving catch from David Warner in the deep too.

Kusal Perera has sensed that he has got a precious opportunity to go big here. He is in about fifth gear at the moment, but he can still go up to sixth.

Oh, that has been hammered! What a lovely shot that is.
Halfway through the innings and Perera calmly brings up the Sri Lankan 150, cracking a slower Cummins delivery back down the ground for four.
The Sri Lankan batter is looking in great nick.
Australia turn to Glenn Maxwell, as they have done with increasing frequency through this tournament.
The Sri Lanka batters milk him for three singles before Kusal Perera eases a ball through the ring at backward point for four.
A single from the final ball of the over takes him to 70 from 72 deliveries.

The opening partnership of 125 is Sri Lanka's highest against Australia in a World Cup. It is the second-highest in this tournament so far behind Rohit Sharma's and Ishan Kishan's 156 for India against Afghanistan.
Josh Hazlewood follows Pat Cummins in offering up the short stuff, but it's an anaemic offering from the Australian seamer as Kusal Perera takes consecutive fours from his opening two deliveries.
The opener hooks to the ropes before lashing the next ball through mid-wicket with the pull shot.
Australia can't afford to let another partnership settle in here.

Kusal Mendis has been using the powerplay to great effect, but he won't be able to do that today because the field is spread. Some of the shots he's attempted could be his downfall today but he's been very good and been playing with great control. It hasn't been a slogathon and you have to back him in his new role as captain.
Kusal Mendis is the new Sri Lankan batter, a centurion in last week's match against Pakistan.
He takes a run to fine leg from his first delivery, before Kusal Perera hurries through a quick single to mid-on.

The short pitch stuff does the trick. He is pulling it from outside off-stump and hence the mishit.
Once again, Pathum Nissanka has thrown it away.
Nissanka c Warner b Cummins 61 (SL 125-1)
Finally, Australia have their wicket!
Pat Cummins drops consecutive balls short - Nissanka dispatches the first one for four with the pull shot, but tries the same ploy for the following delivery and doesn't quite get hold of it.
David Warner hurries in from the boundary and makes an impressive catch diving forward.
Thanks Ffion - it's all looking rather desperate for the five-time world champions, isn't it?
Australia bring Josh Hazewood back into the attack as they look to force a breakthrough. He offers a little width and Nissanka cuts him hard past a despairing backward point fielder and to the ropes.
It's been all Sri Lanka so far.
Can Australia pull things back in the middle? They look pretty depleted.
And that's my cue to hand over to Mike Peter to take you through the next 20 overs of this innings.

This is where Pathum Nissanka gets a little loose and tends to throw his wicket away.
The next 50-75 runs that he might make will be the difference between where Sri Lanka could find themselves.
SL 114-0
Back-to-back fifties for Pathum Nissanka.
A fine knock from 61 balls. Time for this pair to accelerate in the middle overs, now they're both well set.
Glenn Maxwell is back into the attack.
He should have a wicket to his name by now...
