A tidy enough start for Sri Lanka, who haven't really been troubled at all but haven't seized all the momentum yet either.

Once again it's not hitting the stumps. That should be a barometer - how many balls hit the stumps and then push on from there.
In order to get the job done, captain Pat Cummins turns to himself.
But he just sends down another freebie down the leg side that Kusal Perera can easily clip for four.
And follows that with a wide. It's not going well for the men in yellow so far.

Sri Lanka have done really well at being disciplined with the good balls and pouncing on the bad ones.
Josh Hazlewood tries a bouncer, but it doesn't trouble Kusal Perera in the slighest.
Brutally dispatched for another boundary.
Again, Starc withdraws from his delivery stride to warn Kusal Perera about leaving his crease.
Although this time, it's unnecessary from the bowler because Perera's bat was still behind the line. Starc looks frustrated, as if he's just searching for something to get himself fired up.
Dealing in boundaries! Another straight drive, this time Nissanka punishing Mitchell Starc down the ground.

Interesting start, I think Sri Lanka would be the better pleased. Mitchell Starc hasn't really got it right, not enough challenging of the stumps. Kusal Perera started slowly, Nissanka has been classy and controlled as ever. Australia need a quick breakthrough.
Glorious again from Perera, with a drive nailed straight back down the ground.
Hazlewood responds with a couple of dots, but it's a profitable over for Sri Lanka.

It's Kusal Perera's bread and butter. He waited on it and really got his hands through. He didn't try to keep it down, just hit it really nicely.
Shot!
A rare blemish from Josh Hazlewood as he drops too wide, and Kusal Perera gratefully punishes it through the covers.
Better from Starc, just two from the over.
It was no surprise to see Sri Lanka choose to bat first without any hesitation. Despite the two defeats, they've batted really well, scoring more than 300 in both outings so far. It's their bowling unit that has been struggling for form.
Josh Hazlewood rescues Australia's sloppy start with his metronomic accuracy.
Just one leg bye from his first over.

Starc hasn't really got it right. He hasn't really bowled the Starc-delivery that starts on off and crashes into middle stump. Nissanka has just another off-line delivery to get under way.
Despite that cracker of a first delivery, it's a poor over from Starc as Nissanka clips the last ball for four, too.
A wasted review, a wide and two boundaries.
Actually, it's not 'poor'. It's a shocker.

Just whip the bails off! Stay in your crease - it's as simple as.
A bit of tension as Mitchell Starc withdraws from his delivery stride and gives Kusal Perera a warning at the non-striker's end for leaving the crease early.
Pathum Nissanka then adds to Starc's frustration by clipping one off his pads for the first boundary of the day.

It had absolutely nothing going for it, it hit the bat and wasn't going to hit the stumps. It was an absolutely ripping delivery from Starc, it swung and it was dipping in.
Great ball, silly review.
He middled it. Early signs of desperation for Australia.

It was a typical Starc delivery, right in the blockhole.
