An unbelievable effort. He's run from the inner circle to a metre from the boundary rope.

An unbelievable effort. He's run from the inner circle to a metre from the boundary rope.
Another drop - but this was a tough chance.
Glenn Phillips goes for the big heave over long-off and Rashid Khan, running backwards and watching the ball come over his shoulder, cannot quite get there with the dive.
If Afghanistan go on to lose this game then there is one obvious area of improvement for next time.
We have seen some hefty hitting from Glenn Phillips today.

This time the shorter ball gets punished. We're now going to see the T20 version of Glenn Phillips really come into his own.
And again! Phillips is teeing off here.
It is squarer of the wicket this time but no less destructive as the ball nestles way back in one of the stands.

He's picked the slower ball nicely, the off cutter. Gives himself room, clears his legs and hits the ball so, so cleanly.
Crunch. That is some hit from Glenn Phillips as he seizes on a slower delivery from Fazalhaq Farooqi and hammers the ball into the stands.
Look away now, Mujeeb.
Five singles come from Mujeeb's final over to end with figures of 1-57.
At the end of the over Rashid Khan calls all of his team-mates into a huddle and gives an animated pep talk, probably on the lines of 'don't let this slip'.

For the first time we've seen Rashid Khan show some real frustration, he's marching around the ground with his hat in his hand. His teammate goes to high five him and he responds limply.
Glenn Phillips pushes a single to reach his 50 from 69 balls. Not the most explosive but he has played the match situation well.
Rashid Khan looked seething at the end of the over. Afghanistan could - and perhaps should - have had two wickets in two overs.

That was almost as bad as the one the over before. It went straight to him!
Oh dear.
Tom Latham has chipped the ball to skipper Hashmat at mid-wicket who leaps into the air and gets two hands on the ball, but it squirms from his grasp and yet another catch is spilled.
Wisden's Yas Rana on X: Not enough calamitous drops like that in the modern game for me. Cricket is much more fun with regular goobers.

A real mature bit of leadership from Rashid Khan who goes to Mujeeb and tells him to keep going. No matter about how frustrated he is with the dropped catch, he's making sure his teammate is alright.
It gets worse for Mujeeb, who comes straight on to bowl after that drop and has now been clubbed through mid-wicket for six by Glenn Phillips.

It was the Dog and Duck second XI after a heavy Saturday night.

That's the worst bit of fielding we've seen all day. That should have been the end of partnership. A sloppy bit of village fielding.
Another drop. And that's the worst of the lot.
Tom Latham goes for the reverse-sweep and the ball loops up invitingly to Mujeeb, but he can only go for it one-handed and the ball spills to the ground.
