Let's have a quick look back at some of the highlights.
After Pakistan won the toss, Abdullah Shafique showed some aggression at the top of the order.
Three runs and two wickets came off the final over from Naveen-ul-Haq, including this dismissal of Shadab off the final ball. But the damage had already been done.
Pakistan hit 61 runs off the final five overs alone.
Pakistan's Abdullah Shafique: "All of our guys have to have confidence in themselves a the moment. I feel very good and it is always nice to help the team.
"We knew the wicket would spin and they have world-class spinners in their attack but we just believed in ourselves. We were planning how to tackle them and that has meant we've done well.
"Partnerships play a key role and we had that in mind to get us to a par score.
"We've got a good total to defend and we'll do our best as a bowling and fielding unit now."
Here is how Iftikhar Ahmed departed, but his work had already been done thanks to an explosive 40 off just 27 deliveries.

That session started and ended with good energy in the field, running and diving, good throwing. The intent they showed was good. Once Iftimania started, Afghanistan could not stop it. You have more of a chance getting a wicket bowling Mujeeb out.
So Pakistan end their 50 overs 282-7, meaning Afghanistan need 283 to win, which would be their highest chase in ODI cricket.

A really good effort towards the back end of the innings from Shadab and Iftikhar. It's a very respectable score.
Shadab c Nabi b Naveen 40 (Pak 282-7)
Shadab Khan picks out the fielder on the rope.
It was a good connection but did not quite have enough power on it to beat Mohammad Nabi, who comfortably snaffled the catch on the long-on boundary.
Shaheen Afridi gets two off his first ball with a heave into the on side. A single off the penultimate delivery then brings Shadab Khan on strike for the final ball of the innings.

Good execution from Naveen but Iftikhar did his job and I think this partnership will have pushed this game out of hand. The decision to put Shadab above Iftikhar meant that both roles worked perfectly.

Iftikhar has to depart, but not before a really important 40 off 27 balls. That has seen Pakistan up to what they hope will be a match-winning total.
Iftikhar c Azmat b Naveen 40 (Pak 279-6)
Iftikhar Ahmed goes!
It is the wide yorker from Naveen-ul-Haq that Iftikhar looks to smash into the off side, but picks out Azmatullah Omarzai on the cover boundary.
A thrilling cameo from Iftikhar comes to an end.
Naveen-ul-Haq will bowl the final over of the innings.
We have seen some explosive hitting from Iftikhar Ahmed, with this being just one example.
Three wides in that over from Azmat, as well as that six, with 16 runs coming off it in total.
For so long Pakistan looked to be limping to a below-par score, but they have timed their acceleration brilliantly.
This partnership between Shadab Khan and Iftikhar Ahmed is worth 73 from just 48 balls.

This is the challenge of planning at the back end. Azmat's plan to execute was a long, long way off and he ended up disrupting his own rhythm. Iftikhar didn't even have to look.
Take a bow, Iftikhar Ahmed.
Azmatullah Omarzai attempts a yorker but drops it too short and it is simply in the slot for Iftikhar, who clubs it away over long-off for six.
Things are unravelling spectacularly for Afghanistan.
Afghanistan's highest ever total in a successful run chase is 276-8 in ODI cricket, when set 274 to beat United Arab Emirates in December 2014.

I think Pakistan have enough runs, they can declare now. Shadab Khan coming in before Iftikhar meant that Iftikhar could come in and be more explosive. It is good planning from Pakistan.
Iftikhar Ahmed is threatening to take this game away from Afghanistan.
