Target 157
Nine from the over, disappointing for Chris Woakes after he came close to a wicket first up.
He trapped Pathum Nissanka on the crease but an inside edge saved the Sri Lanka opener.
Target 157
Risky shot from Pathum Nissanka but it brings him four.
He whips the ball over the leg side, not out of the middle but clear the fielder.
Four more. That's a better shot, thumped through the covers off the back foot.

Bird of prey watch:
There must be 30 circling above the ground now.
Joe Root will be grateful that this big missed opportunity did not prove too costly...
Target 157
Super shot from Sadeera Samarawickrama. He drives his first ball gloriously through the covers for four.
That should settle a few nerves in the Sri Lanka dressing room.

This one bounces a little bit more. Buttler called it immediately. It took an age to come down. His feet were going crazy trying to get himself in the right position.

It went miles in the air. Jos Buttler had time to think about everything but took a good catch.
K Mendis c Buttler b Willey 11 (SL 23-2)
Make that 20%...
Big wicket for England as Kusal Mendis tries to whip a delivery away from just outside leg stump.
Again the ball from David Willey just holds in the pitch a tad, the ball goes straight up off a leading edge and Jos Buttler goes back to take the catch.
Just a bit of early pressure on Sri Lanka now.
England are 10% of the way to what they need, though. One wicket down, nine to go...
Target 157
WinViz is giving England a very generous 10% chance of victory from here.
I'd argue that is about 9% too high.
Target 157
David Willey has a couple of words with Kusal Mendis after the Sri Lanka batter leaves a short, wide delivery outside off.
Mendis clearly took what was said on board and when Willey sends down another, the right-hander cuts it up and over the in-field for four.
Target 157
Just two from Chris Woakes' over, plinked through the leg side by Pathum Nissanka.
Have England got what it takes to really put the pressure on Sri Lanka in this chase?

That has gone very quickly. It zipped off the surface and beat Root for pace.

It's a catch you have to take in this situation. You've just got to take it.
SL 13-1
Edged and just over Joe Root's head at slip! So nearly two in two for David Willey.
That really would have made things interesting.
Kusal Mendis poked at a rising delivery outside off, the ball went quickly off the edge - too quickly for Root, who can't get a hand to it as it whistles over his head.
Big chance, though.

This really is the big wicket, the in-form Kusal Mendis. He's been smashing it all over the place. He picks up length so quickly.
K Perera c Stokes b Willey 4 (SL 9-1)
Hello... here we go.
Kusal Perera tries to turn the ball into the leg side, the ball holds slightly in the surface and he is through the shot early.
It comes off the leading edge and loops up for Ben Stokes, running in from extra cover, to take the catch.
A glimmer of hope for England.
Phil Long
BBC Test Match Special statistician
Sri Lanka have got games against India, Afghanistan, Bangladesh and New Zealand to come after this. They will fancy winning a couple of those.
Target 157
Back of a length from David Willey and that's short enough for Kusal Perera to pull the ball through backward square leg for four.
Target 157
Big appeal from England as David Willey's first ball strikes Kusal Perera on the back leg.
No review, though. Perhaps a little high.
Yep, ball-tracking comes up and shows it was going over the top of the stumps.
