It must be so good to be Bavuma just stood watching at the other end, knowing that Pakistan are going to overcompensate because of it. It makes no sense going to run shot for shot, De Kock has real purpose in this. De Kock has a bit of purpose because he's retiring after this tournament.
Iftikhar Ahmed tightens it up with Quinton de Kock and Temba Bavuma happy to nudge it into the gaps.

We're not used to seeing Shaheen Shah Afridi going for 19 off his first five balls. That was stylish from Quinton de Kock.
Another boundary for Quinton de Kock as Shaheen Afridi strays on to his pads and the left-handed opener flicks it through mid-wicket for four.
This has been a commanding start by South Africa.

That was a little wider than Shaheen Shah Afridi would've wanted. With that amount of pace, it is almost always going over the slip cordon.

That wide slip was in the game for a second, it flew past Iftikhar Ahmed's head.
Quinton de Kock's silky cover drive is to the fore here.
He stylishly drives Shaheen Afridi through the covers. Next ball he picks up another boundary, albeit with a thick edge through the vacant third region.
De Kock then peels off another sumptuous cover drive to Afridi's third ball. All high elbow.

You'd have to think that if this Iftikhar attempt is just to get out De Kock, you can't bowl like that. But I like it from Pakistan.
I don't mind them trying something a little bit left field, out of the box. I embrace it, but if Quinton de Kock gets in, he goes big.
Thankfully, Shadab Khan is up on his feet and is able to walk off the ground. He seems to be okay, although unclear at this moment in time if he will be fit enough to play any further part in this game.
We get back under way and Quinton de Kock drives spinner Iftikhar Ahmed through the covers. Crisp.

If it is concussion, could there be a substitute?

It could be a little bit of whiplash. I've just seen Babar Azam point to his neck and I think that the stretcher is coming out. It looked like a really innocuous throw.
Worryingly Shadab Khan was lying for a quite while on the turf. Babar Azam was pointing to his neck.

I hope for Shadab Khan's sake, he's only hurt his shoulder.
Shadab Khan has injured himself fielding at mid-on so we have a temporary break in play.
He ran in to field a punch down the ground from Temba Bavuma and landed awkwardly on his shoulder and neck after a diving throw.
Quinton de Kock has hit the most boundaries so far (54) at this World Cup.
Dear, oh dear.
Iftikhar Ahmed begins with a delivery which skips away down leg side and races away down to the boundary.
Five wides.
Temba Bavuma has just taken guard.
Pakistan start with the spin of Iftikhar Ahmed.
Thanks, Ffion. If you have a lot of lunch to eat, you need a lunchbox capable of holding said items. Nobody wants to eat a squashed banana at the the bottom of their bag. Storage is everything.
Anyway, just whirred the stats engines into life. If South Africa knock these off it will be the fourth-highest chase in ODIs at Chennai.
This match is the 28th ODI played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.
Well, South Africa have been in very good form with four wins from five.
But their one defeat came in a chase against the Netherlands, so that could give Pakistan an edge.
It's time for me to hand over to Timothy Abraham, who has been proudly showing off about the depth of his lunchbox, to take you through the chase.
Yes, I know. It's been a thrilling day.
