"We have played some good cricket, we have been close to our best in all departments so we want to keep that going.

"It's not like a T20 World Cup with the group stages, you have got to play your best cricket all the way through so we want to keep that momentum going.

What would you have done if you won the toss?: "I would have liked to bat first. It looks a very good wicket. But we will adapt where we need to.

Team news?: "Kagiso Rabada is missing out today. We have got Tabraiz Shamsi coming in."

  7. Good morningpublished at 09:15 British Summer Time 27 October 2023

Hello and welcome to today's live text ahead of Pakistan's clash with South Africa in Chennai.

South Africa's World Cup campaign has been largely perfect so far and despite a blip against the Netherlands, they probably only need two more wins to seal their place in the final four.

Pakistan meanwhile go into this off the back of three straight defeats against Australia, Afghanistan and India, knowing that their final four games have to be virtually faultless to make the semi-finals.
