I think Maharaj knew that he got it wrong there.

I think Maharaj knew that he got it wrong there.
Short, and slapped away for four by Shadab Khan.
Maharaj shakes his head in frustration.
Pakistan need a bit of lower-order magic from Shadab here.
Saud Shakeel eases a bit of pressure with a perfectly-timed sweep for four as Tabraiz Shamsi whizzes through another over.

Pakistan can't look at the table, for now they need just to set little targets and just go five/10 overs at a time.
Speaking of Babar Azam, here's that awesome piece of work from Quinton de Kock to get rid of him.
Smart review, too.
Advent calendars aside, Marco Jansen works his way through another tidy over, just the three from it thanks to some sharp fielding from Rassie van der Dussen on the cover boundary.
It's really gone a bit flat for Pakistan since Babar Azam departed.
Thanks, Tim.
We're getting in the festive spirit early, debating the best advent calendars and at which point you become too old for one. I'm 27 and I'd still be fuming if my parents didn't get me one.
Right, short and sweet from me today.
Rest assured I leave you in the capable hands of Ffion Wynne, who has been excitedly talking about advent calendars.
She will talk you through the remainder of Pakistan's innings.

I think the pitch is playing good to be honest. It has got good pace on it and it is bouncing through nicely. We thought the pitch was a lot worse when Pakistan play Afghanistan. We thought 260 was enough, it ended up not.
Pakistan will have that in the back of their minds that they thought was a good score but it wasn't.
Saud Shakeel whips a low slog sweep off Tabraiz Shamsi's second ball square in the direction of Aiden Markram, who dives forward but it drops just short. A quarter chance, perhaps.
Three singles, followed by three dots.

You can just see that wicket has given Temba Bavuma and South Africa a big spring in their step.
Pakistan, much like England in this tournament, been simply unable to really string together any partnerships of note in their recent matches.
Just when it looks like they might have some momentum it's stymied by the opposition.
Saud Shakeel finishes Marco Jansen's over with a controlled late cut through third for four. Nicely played.

When it's Babar Azam, and you've got two reviews in the bank, you are giving that a go. That could be one of the biggest wickets of the World Cup and that could be the end of Pakistan. We've often criticised technology in this tournament, but that is what it is there for.
Babar Azam was not best pleased as he trudged off. Looked like he genuinely did not think he had hit that.
It was a kind of late paddle flick by the Pakistan captain but UltraEdge shows it caught something right at the bottom of the handle so he may not have felt it.
A big wicket for South Africa.

What a review that is! Outstanding from the South Africans.
Babar Azam c de Kock b Shamsi 50 (Pak 141-5)
Well, well, well. A brilliant review from South Africa captain Temba Bavuma.
The ball misses the face of Babar Azam's bat on the sweep but it has glanced either the handle or part of the glove on the way through to the gloves of Quinton de Kock.
It was a brilliant piece of anticipatory glovework from the South Africa wicketkeeper.

This is Babar Azam as well, this could be be big.
Babar Azam goes down to sweep Tabraiz Shamsi but misses.
It's collected by Quinton de Kock down the leg side, and the South Africa wicketkeeper thinks he's got a tickle on this.
Here's how Tabraiz Shamsi bagged the wicket of Iftikhar Ahmed a little while ago.

Oh yes, a good hit. Shakeel is calm. He's the type of batters I like. The power in his batting makes it feels like it hurts the other team.
