A well-crafted innings from Aiden Markram so far, some good shots, but not too many risks taken.
Target 272
A better end to the over, with just one run coming from Usama Mir's final four deliveries of it, ending with the seven for the over that matches the rate he has been going at.
He and Wasim have caused problems in this partnership, but Babar Azam could be tempted into a change-up shortly.

David Miller is the key. He is at his best when he is playing like this.

That is huge! It's the shorter boundary but it would clear most boundaries.
Target 272
When David Miller connects with a ball, you certainly know about it!
It is a huge shot, plundered over deep mid-wicket and the shorter boundary, pouncing on Mir fractionally missing out on his length.
You do not want Miller to be getting into this kind of rhythm, with South Africa needing just over 100 more from here to win the match.

There is a lot of swinging and missing but I think South Africa have decided that playing this way is their best way of winning.
But if they lose today, the tag of not being able to chase is not going anywhere. It will keep following them so they will be desperate to get rid of it.
Target 272
Markram has crunched four runs off the final ball of the over for a second time in a row, this time a more calculated and better executed pull shot through mid-wicket.
Usama Mir has made an impact as a substitute, but has gone for seven runs an over so far. South Africa need less than five an over from here for victory.
Target 272
Mohammad Wasim is bowling some pace and getting good bounce which is causing problems for Markram and Miller.
We saw all 10 wickets in the first innings come via catches and Pakistan will hope that there will be a few more catches out there off this pitch to come.

South Africa are still in a good position. The game is theirs for the taking if they can bat another 15 overs.
But Wasim Jr is bowling with genuine pace and bounce and both batters looked quite unsettled.

It was a risky shot to get there but Aiden Markram got enough bat on it. If you're going to swing, make sure you swing hard.
Target 272
It's a half-century for Aiden Markram, passing the landmark with a four off the final ball of Usama Mir's over, a hack that found a thick outside edge, clearing the in the field and finding the third man boundary.
Sitting on 52 runs off 50 balls, this proving to be an important innings for him, taking South Africa past 150 in the process.
Mohammad Wasim has bowled really well so far with figures of 2-14. Here is how he claimed the wicket of Heinrich Klaasen on 12.

This is what we want to see from Pakistan. They are up for it, they are backing each other, plenty of noise. I would have liked to see this energy from them earlier in the competition. Their confidence dropped after that big defeat to India but they have picked it back up tonight.

Imam-ul-Haq is gesturing to Babar Azam that it came off Miller's shirt.
But this is a great contest. This is some of the most thrilling cricket we have seen during the World Cup so far.
Target 272
Almost a review by Pakistan but they opt to not take it upstairs.
The shorter ball from Mohammad Wasim in his penultimate delivery of the over pops up off Miller and is caught by Rizwan, but Pakistan are not convinced there was any glove or bat on it.
Perhaps, we could be set for the first competitive match of the tournament...

South Africa have got to keep playing their shots. It is their strength. If they think defensively and just think about not getting out, rather than scoring, they will come undone.
South Africa are going to want and certainly need more shots like that from David Miller.
Aiden Markram is currently just shy of his half century. This is his fifth score of 40 or more at this World Cup, but only once so far has he got past the 60 mark, making 106 against Sri Lanka.
Markram could do with recreating that innings against Sri Lanka here to give South Africa every chance of an important win here.

That absolutely sailed over the ropes. A big hit, right in Miller's arc.
David Miller, what a shot!
That delivery fell perfectly onto David Miller's bat and it is a gorgeous stroke, flying over deep mid-wicket and you knew it was a six the second it left the bit.
The ball even crashed into the big TV screen on the side of the ground which looks to have taken a bit of damage as a result of Miller's shot.

South Africa are jittery.
