Ilyas Najib: If Pakistan beat South Africa, it would be the most Pakistan thing ever and bring this World Cup to life.

Here is how Usama Mir made his instant impact with the ball, helped a lot by technology in this decision.

    Target 272

As Waqar Younis just said, runs are not the problem for South Africa, especially the rate they are being scored at, they are just losing wickets far too quickly.

A lot has been talked about at this World Cup in regards to how deep South Africa bat. One more wicket, and we will be seeing Marco Jansen.

This is a turning point. Pakistan needed the wicket of Klaasen because of his form.

Mohammad Wasim is back into the side and he has got two huge breakthroughs. The whole team is leaping around so you know how much that wicket means.

The run-rate is still comfortable for South Africa but they are under serious pressure now. Wickets, wickets, wickets is all Pakistan need to be thinking.

    Gone this time!

It was a massive top edge, flying towards Usama Mir at deep third and it ends in a fairly routine catch for Mir, who already has a wicket and a catch to his name since coming on as a concussion substitute.

Are South Africa crumbling at a chase again?

Direct hit and he was gone. That would have been huge.

  8. SA 135-3published at 21.2 overs

A risky single as Klaasen hesitates but eventually takes the run. Bowled Mohammad Wasim looks to hit the stumps, but misses.

Had that hit, you would think that Klaasen would have gone very cheaply there.

Pakistan's spinners have been very inconsistent and that has arguably been their biggest downfall in the tournament so far.

  10. SA 134-3published at 21 overs

A better recovery from Mir, but nine comes from the over after a woeful start to it from Usama Mir.

South Africa, especially with Markram and Klaasen out in the middle, will take any free opportunities such as that.

    Dispatched for six!

Heinrich Klassen thumps that well over the rope after what could only be described as a woeful full toss from Usama Mir.

Mir gets fortunate that the delivery was not called a no ball on height.

    Thanks, Timothy.

Yes, it is true, I was named after one of the greatest fielders of all-time.

At this stage, Pakistan were on 102-3, so from a runs perspective, South Africa are well on top so far.

They will be keen to prove to Pakistan, the rest of their World Cup opponents and more importantly, themselves, they they are capable of chasing a total down.

A finely poised contest this one. Could we actually have a close finish for once?

Anyway, I'm off a cuppa. Jonty Colman will pick things up from here.

Incredibly, he's just told me he was named after former South Africa batter (and fielder par excellence) Jonty Rhodes.

Pakistan needed that wicket but they need another, or two, pretty quickly to keep South Africa under pressure.

We know that they are a side that can crumble under pressure and under a chase. Taking wickets is the only way Pakistan will win so I like the aggression in their bowling.

Haris Rauf was expensive but he was hostile and I like the intent of him trying to shake them up.

Rassie van der Dussen was dropping anchor and with South Africa's dynamism, it's a smart tactic.

Now, with Heinrich Klaasen in the middle, they'll want him to play his natural game so we might see Aiden Markram be the one to hold the innings together.

Umpire's call on both height and on whether it is hitting leg stump.

It was a delivery which skipped on from Usama Mir and hit Rassie van der Dussen high above the knee roll.

Rassie is spitting feathers as he walks off.
