Sri Lanka captain Kusal Mendis: "We would have looked to bat first the pitch is good and we need a good start get a good score on the board and put the pressure on.
"The last two matches we have done really well I'm looking for the same energy, play good cricket and hope we can get the win."
Afghanistan captain Hashmatullah Shahidi: "We think there will be dew later on based on when we've trained here so that is why we're bowling first.
"We are feeling comfortable because we've played good cricket. We are trying to play positive like we have in the last couple of games.
"We are here to play good cricket. We are focusing on today's game and how we can play good cricket and then we'll look to take that into the next games."
