  1. 50 runs

50 for Mahmudullahpublished at 26 overs

A huge roar goes up from the crowd as Mahmudullah pushes the ball square for a single to bring up his half-century from 58 balls.

Mahmudullah has a steely look in his eye as he raises his bat to the Bangladesh dugout. He knows the job is not done yet.

With 25 overs still to go, if Bangladesh don't get the balance between attack and defence right they could be bowled out cheaply.

Pakistan are on the hunt for wickets, Bangladesh are consolidating.

The creativity of BBC Cricket readers never lets us down. Some of these puns are up there with the Star Wars cricketers we had during the Ashes.

Well, they tried their hardest. They kept plinking it to extra cover and calling for a single.

  7. Ban 109-4published at 25 overs

Pakistan are doing well to strangle the scoring, with just the single off Iftikhar Ahmed's latest over.

Even that run needed a dive from Mahmudullah, who requires a change of gloves at the end of the over.

Here is how Litton Das gifted his wicket away a few moments ago. He couldn't believe what he had done.

I think reverse swing could play a significant role here because the pitch is so dry.

  10. Ban 108-4published at 24 overs

Haris Rauf is appealing for lbw again after another delivery that looked to be angling down leg.

He persuaded his skipper to go for a terrible review last time but Babar Azam is having none of it here, politely turning down his request with a smile.

  11. Ban 104-4published at 23 overs

Iftikhar Ahmed looks incredulous with his hands on his hips after Shakib Al Hasan plays and misses with a waspy drive outside off stump. He cannot believe Shakib didn't get an edge on that.

All of a sudden it is Bangladesh who are looking nervy out there.

The experienced Shakib Al Hasan is the new batter as just one run comes off Haris Rauf's latest over to move Mahmudullah on to 47.

He was excellent in scoring a century against South Africa earlier in the tournament and Bangladesh will need something similar here.

It was as if he had turned himself into a statue at the crease.

He was unmoved, flabbergasted at what had just happened.

I feel if I was bowling, I might have told him how bad a shot it was and told him to get off the field.

Soft wicket. Did it just stop in the pitch? Liton Das is just standing there, he cannot believe what he's done.

He's still staying there. This is really peculiar. He is standing there for as long as I've seen a batter stay at the crease because he can't believe it.

It's like he had concrete in his boots but finally he drags himself off.

  16. wicket

    Das c Salman b Iftikhar 45 (Ban 102-4)

And they have some inspiration! Liton Das has thrown his wicket away and he cannot believe it.

Das completely mis-judged the delivery as he rocked back and looked to play it square, but the ball looped up off a leading edge for a simple catch for Agha Salman at mid-wicket.

Das stood in his crease in complete disbelief before slowly trudging off.

    Thanks, Timothy.

This has been quite the fight back by Bangladesh after that nightmare start.

Mahmudullah battled hard for a fine century against South Africa earlier in this tournament and he is showing similar attributes here.

Pakistan need find to some inspiration from somewhere.
