Mummy-dullah bowled Shaheen Afraidi
Tom - Tooting
This has been a nip and tuck game so far. Just when Bangladesh look to have recovered Pakistan have taken a wicket.
Towhid Hridoy is the new batter and gets off the mark with a single pushing down to mid-on.
Shakib Al Hasan then gets a bonus run when a direct hit from mid-off splatters into the stumps and sends he ball flying into a gap in the field.

That was a jaffa. What a good ball.
Mahmudullah is in good form but it was too good for him.

That was as comprehensively bowled as you'll see.
Mahmudullah played inside the line of it. Shaheen Afridi is rewarded for his discipline and that's a massive wicket.

Round the wicket, squares him up and middle stump is pegged back.
That is precisely why Shaheen was brought back into the attack.
Mahmudullah b Shaheen 56 (Ban 130-5)
Yes. Yes he can.
Shaheen Afridi comes around the wicket to Mahmudullah and bowls a brilliant delivery on a length that just straightens slightly to beat the batter's defences, clip his back pad and smash into the stumps.
Shaheen Afridi is coming back into the attack. Can he make a breakthrough?

Where does Shakib go from here? There has not been much intent to score.
When you're batting it's hard to go from blocking to trying to accelerate.

Given they were 23-3 Bangladesh will be well pleased to reach 128-4 after 30 overs, putting them on course for that 250 mark.
Mahmudullah looks well set, Shakib Al Hasan has been conservative. But I wonder if he will look to accelerate soon.

There was not much going for that appeal.
There's a huge appeal from Iftikhar Ahmed as he hits Shakib Al Hasan on the pad as he skips down the track.
Muhammad Rizwan wasn't interested behind the stumps though and Babar Azam agrees.
It was the right decision too. Shakib had got well down the track and ball tracking showed impact was outside off stump.

If I did have a criticism of the Pakistan bowling unit, it is that they try too many things too soon.
It is a 50-over game and the best teams in the middle overs are quite consistent. That's how you build pressure and create chances.
Shakib Al Hasan gets four runs with little more than a push into the off-side that beats the man at cover before racing away on this quick outfield to the rope.
Babar Azam stands there with his arms crossed, he isn't happy with his team-mate's effort in the field there.

I'm with you Tim, not a fan of Halloween. Can get behind a good pun though. How about: Grave-am Smith? Or Trent Boult-ergeist? Could be as popular as the fruit selection that awaits the kids when they knock on my door of course.

Bangladesh are rebuilding nicely as they milk four singles from Iftikhar Ahmed's latest over.
This doesn't look the easiest pitch to bat on so 250 looks to be the target from here.

Mahmudullah is capable of turning it on and going through the gears.
This is a good platform for him and Bangladesh.
