It is clipping the top of leg I'd say.

It is clipping the top of leg I'd say.
Tanzid Hasan has stepped across his stumps here and is struck just on the knee roll by Shaheen Afridi.
It's given out on field. Could be close on height this one.
Wooosh, bit of swing for Shaheen Afridi as his first ball is full and drive-able length, which tempts Tanzid Hasan into a waft, but it swings away from the left-handed batter.

News that qualification for the Champions Trophy is on the line will have spooked a few teams in to trying to get their act together towards the back end of this World Cup. It perhaps explains why the president of Bangladesh Cricket Board flew in to have some crisis meetings with his team.
Shaheen Afridi, with that perfectly coiffured barnet, is at the top of his mark with the ball in hand.
Tanzid Hasan has taken guard.
Play.

It wouldn't be a World Cup without some off-field turblence for Pakistan.
On the pitch they have an innate ability to compete with anyone in the world, but quite frequently it is the off the pitch stuff that is a distraction. So they need to turn a corner here.
The players have just lined up for the national anthems alongside the obligatory two giant flags.
Always wondered what happens to these massive flags after the tournaments are over.
Answers on a postcard, as Jos Buttler would say.

"I am still waiting for a big innings in this World Cup. I am making 50s and 60s so want that big hundred."

"The biggest disappointment in this tournament is that we've not been consistent enough. We are doing bits and pieces but we're not doing it as a collective."
Pakistan skipper Babar Azam gives the coin a flick and Shakib Al Hasan calls correctly.
The Bangladesh skipper has decided to bat first.
The 31st match of the 2023 Cricket World Cup.
