  1. Pak 86-0published at 15 overs

If you need a job doing...Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan has seen enough from his side so brings himself into the attack.

A single apiece off the over for Abdullah Shafique and Fahkar Zaman.

Fahkar attempts to sweep his final ball and only just makes contact which draws a gasp from Shakib. Lbw would have been in play had he missed that.

This is turning into a net run-rate mission for Pakistan as they try to drag themselves up the table.

That was a ten rows back job, that one.

Fahkar Zaman has his dancing shoes on.

He shimmies down the pitch to Mehidy Miraz and with a big swing of the willow biffs him over the boundary at long-on.

Timing and aggression. Pakistan could have this done in 25 overs at this rate.

Bangladesh have to keep their fielders up as they have to try and take wickets, but it is making it quite easy for the Pakistan batters to pick off.

Anything with a straight bat Abdullah Shafique plays so beautifully.

  8. Pak 73-0published at 12.4 overs

The right-left hand combination of Abdullah Shafique and Fahkar Zaman seems to be doing the trick at the moment.

A punchy chip down the ground from Shafique as he plonks Mustafizur Rahman over the head of mid-off and races away to the boundary.

Next ball it's a dreamy flick of his legs which races away to the boundary through mid-wicket.

    Another six from Fahkar Zaman.

This time he uppercuts the penultimate ball of Shoriful Islam's over to the boundary at third. Stunning shot.

Plenty of Pakistan batters find a way of getting to 20 or 30, but when it comes to digging a little deeper, maybe defending for a few overs and then finding the rhythm again, they have come unstuck.

So I wouldn't be celebrating getting to 30 just yet, but just embrace getting a good start.

That gives a few moments to see this delectable clip for six from Fahkar Zaman from a little while ago.

Abdullah Shafique with a single to Shoriful Islam, but he's feeling a bit of cramp so we have a delay to proceedings as he receives treatment.

Brilliant shot. He held the pose just long enough for the photographers to take a click.

    The maker will be happy.

    Oh Abdullah Shafique, behave.

A classical straight drive from the Pakistan opener as he crisply pings Shoriful Islam to the boundary, all along the carpet.

    Beautiful.

Afghanistan's performance at the World Cup has shone a light on the likes of Ireland and Bangladesh, who should be further on in their development.

Bangladesh are very good in their own conditions and are sort of in-between the lesser-fancied sides and the favourites. But if they had to beat a Pakistan or Australia it would not be a surprise.

There's plenty of Bangladesh fans in the ground in Kolkata so the subdued atmosphere shows which way they think this one is going. Reckon a few will make an early dart for the last train to Dhaka tonight.

Bangladesh bowling coach Allan Donald is sat against one of the advertising hoardings with his arms crossed pondering what they should do to mix this up.

Left-arm seamer Mustafizur Rahman into his second over which is bookended by a single apiece for Abdullah Shafique and Fahkar Zaman.

    Thanks, Sam.

Just the start to their reply that Pakistan would have been hoping for at Eden Gardens.

They have still have plenty of experience to come in their middle order, too.

    Target 205

Powerplay over and, the way things are going, Bangladesh's top-four hopes won't be far behind.

Pakistan are well on their way to victory and to take you through the next phase of the innings, it's over to Timothy Abraham.

Fahkar's positive approach led to that boundary. Normally fine leg would be on the rope, but because of his attacking intent the fielder was in the circle.

    Target 205

Easy pickings for Fakhar Zaman as Shoriful Islam angles the ball down the leg side.

Fakhar helps it on its way with a leg glance and gets four.
