South Africa captain Temba Bavuma: "I was looking to bat first, that suits our make-up as a team.

"The surface looks a bit dry, it'll probably skid on in the evening but we want to put runs on the board and then put them under pressure with the ball.

"We've got one change: Kagiso Rabada comes in for Tabraiz Shamsi.

"We just need to run with momentum, we take a lot of confidence from getting over the line in our last game. It wasn't our most clinical display but we found the character to get the right result.

"Another opportunity to execute our skills today. I've never played against New Zealand in a white-ball game so that's new.

"But watching them in this tournament, we've got a good sense of them. We know we'll have to be on in all different aspects of our game."

New Zealand captain Tom Latham: "It looks a reasonably good surface with the potential for some dew later on. Hopefully that might play into our favour.

"We've had a few niggles so one change from the last game: Tim Southee comes in for Lockie Ferguson.

"We've been on the wrong side of a couple of games but we've said over the last few days that we've done a lot of good stuff throughout those games.

"We'll focus on the positives and confidence is still high in the group.

"It's a team we don't play that often but we had a warm-up game against them, they've played some fantastic cricket and it'll be a great game today."
