  1. NZ 57-3published at 12 overs

    Target 358

Kagiso Rabada starts a maiden over with a superb delivery that whistles past Tom Latham's outside edge.

Excellent bowling and the New Zealand skipper takes no risks for the next five balls.

It's rebuild time for the Black Caps. Not ideal when you need another 301 runs to win.

Gerald Coetzee took a wicket in that over and he took the catch a couple of overs back.

Marco Jansen banged the ball in, Rachin Ravindra took it on and the top-edged pull sent the ball down to Coetzee at fine leg.

  3. NZ 57-3published at 11 overs

    Target 358

A successful first over for Gerald Coetzee.

New Zealand are right up against it now. Needing a World Cup record chase to win, they're three down early against a strong South Africa attack.

New Zealand are in a spot of trouble. Will Young looks to the skies and says something we can't repeat on radio.

Fishing, looking to block the ball, takes a thick outside edge. You know he's guilty because he turns to look at the wicketkeeper straight away.

  5. wicket

    Young c De Kock b Coetzee 33 (NZ 56-3)

Feathered behind next ball. South Africa are in complete control of this game.

It's a very good ball from Gerald Coetzee, hitting the pitch hard on good length and a probing fourth stump line.

There is a hint of extra bounce, Will Young prods at it and a thin nick goes through to Quinton de Kock.

  6. NZ 56-2published at 10.2 overs

    Target 358

Super shot from Will Young, whipping the ball away behind square on the pull.

It was too short from Gerald Coetzee and Young found the gap.

I've never seen a batter sweat as much as Daryl Mitchell. He's a Niagara-head.

Daryl Mitchell punching the ball back down the ground, in the slot. He's done well to hit it so straight, actually.

  9. NZ 51-2published at 10 overs

    Target 358

    Top class from Daryl Mitchell.

Too full from Kagiso Rabada and Mitchell just shows it the full face, punching the ball back past the bowler.

All along the ground for four.

Kagiso Rabada is coming on to bowl the last over of the powerplay. Just what you don't need as a batting side under a bit of pressure.

New Zealand have been due a bad game. Although they've lost their last two games they've not been bad performances. That shot is one of Ravindra's strengths, it was just top-edgey.

Ravindra throws his head back in dismay. The youngster has blazed a number of hundreds but he won't add another today.

  13. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 9 overs

    Ravindra c Coetzee b Jansen 9 (NZ 45-2)

Top-edged pull shot and Rachin Ravindra is caught at fine leg. Another powerplay wicket for Marco Jansen!

He took on the short ball as we've seen him do to great effect throughout this World Cup but this time he doesn't get all of it and the ball goes straight to Gerald Coetzee.

No mistake from him. New Zealand, facing a World Cup record chase, in a spot of bother.

Playing the ball up on his toes through the off side. One of those players that if you miss by any margin you know he's going capitalise, as he has done many times in this tournament.

  15. NZ 42-1published at 8.2 overs

    Target 358

Rachin Ravindra steps into this shot and slaps the ball through the off side with real flair!

Super shot from the young left-hander.

Of bowlers at this World Cup, Marco Jansen has taken more wickets than any other in the first 10 overs of a match.

In overs 1-10, he has taken 11 wickets in this World Cup. The next best is Sri Lanka's Dilshan Madushanka on six.

  17. NZ 38-1published at 8 overs

    Target 358

Will Young makes it 10 from the over with a back-foot punch that bounces over backward point and earns him two.

That might just be the over to help New Zealand get going a bit in this chase.

  18. NZ 36-1published at 7.2 overs

    Target 358

Back-to-back boundaries for Will Young to start the over!

The first is a classy flick through square leg, the second a streaky edge that goes up and over slip.

They both count the same. Eight to the Black Caps total.

Rassie van der Dussen is not out there having scored a century. It's the fourth time that a South African century maker hasn't taken the field.
