    Here's the first bowling change.

Last week's hero Tom Hartley has ball in hand, feeling a lot more confident this time around I'm sure.

His first ball here concedes a single, as opposed to a six.

  2. Ind 23-0published at 10 overs

This couldn't be more different than Jaiswal's first innings in Hyderabad when he took Tom Hartley to the cleaners.

Will be interesting to see how he plays today's debutant, Shoaib Bashir, if he's still batting by then.

  3. Ind 20-0published at 9 overs

There's not loads out there for Anderson to work with but he still manages to get a couple to whizz past the outside edge. But Jaiswal and Rohit seem prepared to be patient.

Pitch looks very flat. Great toss for India to win. Now they have to make the most of it.

See, it's not all about newborns. Snoring partners count, too.

It’s early, I should be asleep but tea and the thought of Jimmy’s blond streaks are helping me stay glued to my phone. And my wife is snoring.

Half an appeal from England for either an lbw or a catch, as Jimmy Anderson pins Rohit Sharma on the pad, with Ben Foakes taking the ball behind.

Ben Stokes asks the question but Anderson isn't convinced. Replays show there's no bat and the lbw was probably both missing the stumps and outside the line.

Anderson has done enough of this to not waste three reviews in the first 13 overs. A maiden.

  8. Ind 15-0published at 6 overs

Joe Root gets away with a full toss as it's rescued by Rehan Ahmed on the boundary, before a scrambling Ollie Pope at point saves a couple more.

A cautious start from India here.

    Everyone's welcome, Richard.

No need to wake the 10-year-old. Could be worse though - my only option would be to wake my husband and that would not go down well.

Looking forward to this match. But just want to confirm I’m allowed to follow along on here as I’m not up due to a new born? I’m just awake to catch the Cricket. If necessary I can wake up my 10-year-old but I’ll struggle to cradle him.

That one's lost on me, sorry. I'm sure it'll be great though.

Just the one off Joe Root's second over, a good recovery from the two boundaries conceded from his first.

Have the Barmy Army got Shoaib’s song sorted yet? May I suggest (to the tune of Tommy Roe’s Dizzy): ‘We’re so dizzy, our heads are spinning, like a whirlpool, it never ends, And it's Bashir making it spin- you’re making us dizzy!’ That is assuming, he has some serious spin, that is!

Rohit Sharma gets off the mark with a gorgeous back-foot dab for the purists. They run three, though it appears that Rehan Ahmed's foot touches the boundary sponge while sliding - but nobody checks it.

There's a hint of swing for the timeless Anderson, but the openers navigate it pretty comfortably.

  14. Ind 9-0published at 2 overs

Fair enough, this one is prettier. Jaiswal gets forward and drives elegantly for four more. The 22-year-old played beautifully in India's first innings in Hyderabad, whacking a quickfire 80.

The ball is whizzing through the outfield and there's no real signs of turn for Root yet.

Stirred in the night, checked time, 3.58am, oooh the cricket's on isn't it? Should really go back to sleep... yeah, but Bazball.

OK then! Yashasvi Jaiswal whacks Joe Root's first ball for four with a bizarre cross-batted swipe through the covers, barely moving his feet.

It got the desired result but it didn't look pretty.

It's heating up in Vizag. A cool start to the day in the Bay of Bengal will give way to some very warm sunshine later on. The ground is quite empty at the moment, but the start time is 9.30am, so plenty of time to fill up. I'll be honest, that pitch looks flat.

Ah, the Baby Club returns. The babies of Bazball.

Jaiswal tucks one off his hip for an easy single and India are on their way.

Perks of having a newborn, a 4am start is right on our schedule. Hoping baby Louie can make his debut with Jimmy in 2042.

James Anderson, blonde streaks in his hair, charges in.

Yashasvi Jaiswal lets the first ball go down the leg side.
