Joe Root blasted his bowling marker away at the end of that first over. Threw it almost to the boundary. Not happy with what he delivered.

It'll be Joe Root with the first over, bowling to India skipper Rohit Sharma.

He starts innocuously, drifting one down the leg side. But with a leg slip in place, this looks like a plan to Rohit - given his dismissal that way in the first innings.

We didn't see much of Tom Hartley at the back end of the first innings so Ben Stokes will have to find a way to get him back into the game.

We know James Anderson will control an end, but can Hartley do the same? He's the most experienced spinner, certainly at first-class level, and the other two spinners are more aggressive so he needs to find a way to hold up an end.

But naturally, England aren't short of confidence.

Opener Zak Crawley says that England are still "massively in the game" and I'm not going to even comment on that, after how daft we all looked for discrediting Ben Duckett's similar statement in the first Test.

Crawley spoke to Stephan Shemilt last night and you can read more from the interview here.

England's bowlers are going to have to find something just as magical if they are going to find a way back into the game.

Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal looked very calm on their way to 28-0 after a tricky half hour at the close of play yesterday, the latter naturally full of confidence having just hit a double century.

James Anderson bowled beautifully but with England being bowled out in a day, hasn't had much of a rest, so the inexperienced spinners will have to step up to the mark.

Day two belonged to Jasprit Bumrah, and that's quite an achievement when you consider a 22-year-old made 209 on the same day.

Bumrah's 6-46 was nothing short of sensational. The more replays I've seen of that yorker to Ollie Pope, the more incredible it gets - the picture says it all.

    Good morning!

So England are 171 behind after India took a big first-innings lead, the pitch is deteriorating, and victory is surely slipping away from them?

I think I've seen this one before somewhere...
