Mukesh Kumar takes the second over, and he starts well before Ben Duckett whacks two boundaries to conclude it.

The seamer has been very ineffective this Test. Nowhere near Bumrah's level of threat, although in fairness, not many are.

England's second innings will be like watching Dr Who in the 80s. Hide behind the sofa and hope the cybermen (aka Bumrah and Ashwin) don’t get you.

    Oh my word.

Yeah, this won't be easy. Jasprit Bumrah, of all people, gets one to shoot straight along the ground and Crawley does very well to jam his bat down on it.

The next one takes off from a good length and whizzes past the shoulder of the bat.

I don't want to write England off because people have done that before and I'll hold my hands up, I did in the first Test when they were 190 behind.

That took a special innings from Ollie Pope and it's going to need a genius innings. They do have the potential to do it.

No Rehan Ahmed yet. We'll see what happens if and when a wicket falls.

Zak Crawley safely leaves the first ball from Jasprit Bumrah. The crowd is buzzing with anticipation.

Could be something, could be nothing, but Rehan Ahmed is having throw-downs. The new Nighthawk? Promoted to cover the injured Joe Root?

It feels like either India haven’t got enough or they’ve got about 250 too many.

The best thing about watching this England side, and the live chat comments, is that whatever the result, they make us all proud. 399 in a fourth innings? Who cares, it’s gonna be fun isn’t it!

It's a tall order but this team only seems to get taller. Might even be an obscure lyrical reference from my youth there.

Yashasvi Jaiswal starred on day one, Jasprit Bumrah on day two and Shubman Gill on day three. He wasn't as fluent as Jaiswal, but battled through some early nerves to reach a wonderful century.

Tom Hartley led England's attack with 4-77, Rehan Ahmed finished with 3-88 and Ben Stokes sprinkled some magic of his own with a stunning catch running to take the ball over his shoulder.

Chasing 399 is highly improbable but not impossible.

The pitch looks alright and from an Indian perspective Ravichandran Ashwin has to come to the party.

Momentum is everything in cricket and England have taken four wickets for 28 runs after tea. That is the best possible scenario they could have hoped for.

    Ashwin c Foakes b Ahmed 29 (Ind 255)

Got 'im! Ashwin's bizarre innings comes to an end, thanks to another sharp take from Ben Foakes.

Signs of aggression come a little too late for Ashwin, who spent much of his 61-ball knock just patting the ball back to the bowler with zero intent to score.

He takes a swing, edges and Foakes snaffles another low chance with the ball just skidding through. That'll be a challenge for them to navigate with the bat, but for now they'll be delighted to have taken those four wickets pretty quickly.

    Sir Alastair Cook
Former England captain on TNT Sports

We're seeing a little bit of fear of Bazball from India. That is all it can be. They are 400 runs ahead and for the last half an hour we've had Ashwin blocking it almost like every run is important.

Against any other side, and certainly sides I led, they would be trying to crash it around and have some fun before they got bowling.

There is just something about this England side which has caused a bit of chaos in the opposition. India are so wary of it. The chances of England chasing 400 in the subcontinent are low but they know with Zak Crawley, Ben Stokes and Joe Root in the side there is a chance.

Tom Hartley has 4-77, with Mukesh Kumar in at 11. Can he get a second five-wicket haul in his second Test match?

Ashwin has got to go for it now, surely. The new ball is two overs away if England want it.
