Sarfaraz is on a mission here. Looks very adept again spin, comfortable taking on the big shots and has done a good job so far building after the last wicket.
Jadeja 94, Sarfaraz 38
Ben Stokes hasn't done a lot wrong as England skipper but his reviewing in this series would be one thing.
Sarfaraz Khan can play, by the way. He's swaggering, brimming with confidence, as he cracks Tom Hartley back down the ground for four over his head and thwacks another over mid-wicket.
He's raced to 38 from just 42 balls.

In the first innings of the first Test England burned off all their reviews within 14 overs. Today they would successfully have dismissed Rohit and Jadeja had they used their reviews.
That lbw shout in the last over? The one Ben Stokes and Tom Hartley didn't fancy? I think Ravindra Jadeja would have been out looking at the replays we've seen so far.
That's the second time that's happened today.

That drop from Root was hardly a stinker, but surely he puts far too many chances down overall to be a first choice slip? His catching percentage in there must be extremely low, he doesn't go a match without a drop.

Tom Hartley is bowling now but he can't keep Sarfaraz on long enough to apply any pressure. The over ends with an appeal for lbw which Ben Foakes fancies. He's trying to get his captain's attention but Ben Stokes isn't interested.
India have batted well since their bad start, obviously, but you cannot say they haven't had a bit of luck. Sarfaraz is the latest to sky a ball into a gap nowhere near where he was aiming.

Former England captain
Sarfaraz looks a dangerous player - very good against spin and has appetite for big runs. His first-class record is outstanding.
He is a big sweeper and that’s why I can’t believe Hartley hasn’t bowled to him as he will be sweeping against the tide.
Tom Hartley returns from a long spell in the field for a brisk over that costs only a single. India's other debutant, wicketkeeper Dhruv Jurel, is padded up and is waiting patiently on the sidelines.
Back under way and Sarfaraz Khan clobbers Joe Root with a confident swing over mid-wicket.
That's a shot.
Sarfaraz knocks a single the next ball too. Smart from the inexperienced man.
Jadeja 90, Sarfaraz 9
Too wide from Rehan Ahmed and Sarfaraz Khan has his first boundary in Test cricket on the cut.
That's drinks with 75 minutes remaining in the day.
It's a better over from Root and a quicker one. That's useful because England's over-rate has been appalling once again.
Mark Wood's spell is over and Joe Root is going to come back on.
Root was poor with the ball earlier. England need better here.
On TV they're just showing the pictures of when Sarfaraz was presented with his India cap this morning. Afterwards he leapt into his dad's arms. His dad even gave the badge on his cap a kiss.
Lovely stuff.

It is remarkable how England seem to have got every team wrong for the World Cup in the same conditions but have got the Test teams spot on.
Jadeja 86, Sarfaraz 3
Sarfaraz Khan gets his first runs as Mark Wood opts for the bluff of a yorker when the field is set for the short stuff.
Sarfaraz's dad is on his feet applauding in the stands. His thighs are going to be tired if he applauds every run.
Michael Vaughan
Former England captain
Time to turn back to Tom Hartley to Sarfaraz. They can’t allow a debutant to get away with a few early boundaries.
Sarfaraz's first shot in anger is a big slog sweep that ends up with him on his back side and scoring none.
He's still yet to score. Nervous?

There's another opportunity here for England following Rohit’s demise. It wasn’t a flawless innings by any means but Rohit does make batting look so easy.
