That session was the first in the series without a wicket. It feels like the first such session in any England Test for about three years.

Thanks Mike. The wisdom may be limited.
I wonder what the mood will be in the England dressing room. At the beginning of the day if they'd been offered 185-3 after losing the toss they may well have taken it, but that session was pretty chanceless.
So will Ben Stokes admonish his charges a little? Or offer something more measured?
Meanwhile here's Matt Henry to offer his own words of wisdom.
Is this the last over of the session?
If it is, Ravindra Jadeja's going to end it in style - he lofts Joe Root's penultimate ball for six, bringing up the 150 partnership as well.
And that's tea. It's been India's afternoon - 86 runs and no wickets, with Jadeja and Rohit Sharma looking untroubled.

Jadeja is once again proving why he is the best all-rounder in the game at the moment.
Same again for Rehan Ahmed as the India batters take him for four singles for the second over in a row.
No sign of a breakthrough for England, with this pair looking extremely settled.

The outfield is so fast the batters are realising you don’t to need to be too expansive. Low risk shots for high reward on this pitch.
Bit of air from Joe Root, and Rohit Sharma leaps out of his crease to push the ball away for a single, the only score of the over.
"That's brilliant, Rooty" comes the call from his captain.
Rehan Ahmed is worked around for four singles.
Ravindra Jadeja has donned a cap now England are fielding spinners at both ends, but Rohit has retained his helmet.
Jadeja gets in on the boundary action, clubbing away Joe Root's half volley to the mid-on boundary.
Signs of a bit of impetus from this partnership, having seen off the England seamers.

I think as all the wickets came when most of the nation was asleep. I think we all need to support this team and get our heads down for a few hours. Night night all.

We felt it was going to be Rohit’s day. I reckon he will chase the spinners now. It would force Stokes to bring the quicks back again.
A tidy over from Rehan Ahmed is spoiled by Rohit Sharma aggressively whipping the England spinner away for four between mid-wicket and mid-on.
The India captain moves into the nineties.
After that fiery start, just a couple of singles from the rest of the over.
Spin at both ends now for England as Joe Root comes on to replace Mark Wood.
Rohit Sharma greets him by clouting his first ball over mid-on for six.
After nine overs on the trot, Tom Hartley gets some rest as Rehan Ahmed comes on for his second over of the day.
Ben Stokes will be desperately hoping his leg spinner can break this partnership, with two Indian debutants to come in next.
A half-hearted lbw shout from the final ball of the over, but the ball struck Jadeja outside the line.
And that's 150 up as well, Jadeja clipping the ball to the square leg fielder for a single.
This is the highest partnership of the series for either side.

Excellent fifty for Jadeja. He came in in a difficult situation and has not only steadied the ship but taken pressure off Rohit by rotating the strike and playing positive.
He also has one of the best helicopter celebrations in cricket.
That's the half century for Ravindra Jadeja on his home ground! His pushes Mark Wood for a mid-wicket single to bring up his fifty off 97 balls.
Holding his bat in one hand, he twirls it elaborately in celebration, as though he were auditioning for a role as lightsaber wielding Jedi knight.
