That was a nice little slower ball from Diana Baig. Sarah Glenn was so out of time with the shot, I think it might have been the knuckle ball.

    Glenn b Baig 1 (Eng 174-9)

    Lovely slower ball from Baig.

It's enough to see off Sarah Glenn, striking her leg stump as she tried to make room to drive.

Lauren Filer comes in for one ball.

  3. Eng 173-8published at 19.3 overs

    Woops!

Charlie Dean gets herself in a right muddle trying to playing a scoring shot but she seems to confuse Muneeba Ali too, the ball scoots through the Pakistan keeper's legs for four byes.

Sophie Ecclestone was eyeing up mid-wicket and credit to Diana Baig, she knew that and bowled it short so Ecclestone couldn't hit that area.

Smart cricket from one of Pakistan's most experienced players.

    Ecclestone c Riaz b Baig 2 (Eng 168-8)

    Snaffled by Aliya Riaz!

Ecclestone goes to clout Diana Baig square, but there's plenty of fielders on the leg-side ropes. It's Riaz who takes a comfortable catch.

    In comes Sarah Glenn.

    Jones c Akhtar b Sana 26 (Eng 162-7)

One, two... caught one the third attempt!

A sign of a proper batter in proper form is when they can come down, free their hands and hit it over extra cover with ease.

    It's pure timing.

  11. Eng 160-6published at 18 overs

Amy Jones sweeps Sadia Iqbal hard and brings up the England 150 with the boundary. Three balls later she advances down the pitch to loft her over the cover boundary.

From Iqbal's final ball a deep fielder cuts off a clubbed shot down the ground, but the single moves Jones to 25 from 13.

Another full toss from Nida Dar, but that's what you need from your fielders. They have got to clear up your mess and vice-versa.

She is getting away with murder a bit but you take it when you can. Sometimes that is all you need to help turn a corner.

  13. wicket

    Gibson c Iqbal b Dar 13 (Eng 149-6)

Dani Gibson won't be there at the finish for England today.

A leg-side delivery from Dar, Gibson suceeds only in firing the balls into the hands of short fine leg.

Here comes Sophie Ecclestone, who can also clout it around a bit.

If England keep on going like this they will be on for that 180, or even above it.

  15. Eng 148-5published at 16.4 overs

Nifty from Amy Jones, greeting a full toss from Nida Dar with a wristy reverse flick, the ball hitting the turf and racing away for four at backward point.

  16. Eng 141-5published at 16 overs

Gibson makes the most of her reprieve!

She moves her feet swiftly to pivot into the position to hammer Akhtar to the square boundary.

You cannot give second chances to players who are in form.

Is new batter Dani Gibson gone here? She's skewed the ball to the catcher at third, but the umpires are taking a look...

Nope, it's an over-step from Waheeda Akhtar and a free hit.

I'd like to see England reach 180 from now. I don't see why the rest of the batting line-up can't go at 10 an over.

It is whether or not those five wickets have stumped them a bit and put them on the back foot.

  20. Eng 129-5published at 15 overs

Amy Jones drops deep in her crease and pulls Nida Dar to the boundary.

She then takes two behind square.
